Personally I'm not going to look that far ahead, to who the NFC representative will be in Glendale eleven months from now.

The Broncos play the Seahawks in Seattle; that's not a bad thing.

Yeah, the donkeys get to play the Seahawks in Seattle, the Rams in St. Louis, and both the 49'ers and Cardinals at home.

Let's make the AFCCG go through New England this year, please!

So the Jets are well and truly ****ed, then. I dunno how they intend to play Rex's defense if Kyle Wilson and Dee Milliner are their best corners. Doesn't matter how good your d-line is if your secondary sucks that hard.

Maybe they're trying to see if they can roll $30M in cap space over to next season.

The Broncos have to play 4 good NFC defenses, the Pats and Bengals on the road, and KC and SD twice each, plus Indy at home. That's 11 tough games, including 9 against 2013 playoff teams, 8 against teams that won 10 or more games in 2013, and 7 against teams that should have extremely good defenses. It's going to be a lot tougher for them to get HFA this year.

I'm interested to see what the best offense in NFL history does against a schedule not featuring defenses like Dallas (30th), Washington (20th), week 2 NYG (defense was atrocious til the Beason trade), Jacksonville (26th), and Oakland (28th) twice.

Get ready for Wilson to become the next Brady with mobilty.

If the Eagles are serious about trading DeSean Jackson, the Jets' best move might be to consider it. They have the cap space, and they have an extra 4th round pick from Tampa Bay (courtesy of the 2013 Revis trade :p). Put Jackson and Eric Decker at WR and they might be able to get an offense together, especially if they sign Michael Vick. Then they could use #18 to get a DB like Kyle Fuller, or possibly even trade up for Dennard or Gilbert.

I don't think he is a downgrade and as other pointed out he is a different type of player. That said, I think Allen is more of a pass rush specialist at this point and it does make him a bit redundant with Michael Bennett and Cliff Avril.

NASCAR. That is all.

Jared Allen has NOT officially signed in Seattle.

Idk why espn reported it, because Schefter never broke the news. but he hasn't made a choice yet

Ian Rapaport is trying to still make up for the whole Browner thing and is staking the claim that he was right

Jared Allen is working on final details of a contract with the SB champion Seattle Seahawks. Barring unforeseen issues, he could sign today

Understand we live in 140-character, headline-driven world and that despite carefully prefacing Jared Allen-Seahawks story, I appear wrong

Jared Allen has agreed to a deal w/ Seahawks & is finalizing contract. Allen has 7 straight double-digit sack seasons. (via @Edwerderespn)

its says agreed to deal... whoever wrote this should have left it out..

Fair enough, ED Werder broke the "news" as far as I know, everything I read had issues with him, when he never explicitly stated it.

Edit - Agreeing and signing are very different too, Revis and Browner both agreed to deals that weren't signed for quite some time. Revis' took 4 or 5 days.

Glad Cro is out of NY. I can't stand that guy, and not having to see him twice a season makes me happy.

yes true, agreeing and signing are much different but name me a scenario where someone has reportedly agreed then didn't sign with that team (outlier: Manny Sanders). and whenever espn or someone big like that says agree its normally a done deal. there's still a huge shot that Allen retires too.

Revis agreed but needed to come back for his physical and Browner wanted to come to NE so bad but his agent wanted to squeeze another year and more $ outta us, which worked.

I don't understand why a lot of people on here don't care about the NFC. We'd mostly likely have to beat them in the super bowl if we want the Lombardi. Anytime teams like the niners, seahawks, saints, and packers get big additions it's not good.

Because we don't have to play them. The playoffs are a crapshoot. Even accounting for the fact that they're the best team in the NFC, they still probably won't make the SB next year. Meanwhile, Denver has to play them and we don't, so if it comes down to Pats/Broncos for HFA, it helps.
