Think about that the next time you come up with an all in scenario.
I say that respectfully and without snark because despite disagreeing with you a majority of the time I think your posts are entertaining. Seriously.
I'm not sold on Tua. I am on Trevor, but I'm not betting any money on his success. Anyway, my comments were more about mocking the Rams on giving up their 1st round pick because it's all-or-nothing with Goff of all people leading the way.I don't think a sure thing exists any more. Tua...Trevor...I'm not a fan of privileged 1st round QB snowflakes. I want someone who has a chip on their shoulder...who doesn't forget what round they were drafted in...ever. Give me a QB who wants revenge...who works constantly at their craft. A QB that doesn't setting for 2nd best.
Give me that QB and a solid offensive line...I'll take him over the snowflakes...every give(en AND TAKE) Sunday.
How does that team have any picks left to trade and any cap room?
Yeah, a high second was a decent recompense for a back up QB with 5 quarters of decent film to base his future on.TWO 1st rounders and a 4th Rounder for a CB????
And all we could get for Jimmy G was ???????????
.
I can even see giving up all those picks, when you feel that they will be lower in the round. What I CANNOT understand is how you could give up those picks and not be sure the asset you purchased with them will be on the team next season. The rams are idiots. 2 first round picks for a player that plays one side of the field. On the last year of his deal. lmao.
I have to wonder if teams couldn't find a good to great quarterback taking a few of them from picks 10-40 and letting them fight it out. Too many top 10 quarterbacks go bust to insist on pursuing the #1 pick as the path to victory. I'd love to see a team tank, then flip that #1 to draft a few quarterbacks later in the 1st and into the 2nd along with depth at other positions through the boatload of picks you get for a #1.I don't think a sure thing exists any more. Tua...Trevor...I'm not a fan of privileged 1st round QB snowflakes. I want someone who has a chip on their shoulder...who doesn't forget what round they were drafted in...ever. Give me a QB who wants revenge...who works constantly at their craft. A QB that doesn't setting for 2nd best.

...So roughly half of Super Bowl winning quarterbacks come from a lower position. I don't know if there is any logic to picking the marquee #1 versus dumping that overvalued pick for a bunch of lower ones.
Out of the AFC.
WHAT? You think teams should just sign the best CB from FA without paying any draft picks like the Pats? I think you are onto something here .Way too much. Trading top draft picks for players you need to pay top dollar for anyway is a losing proposition long term.
Gilmore is the only corner we have that is better than Jalen Ramsey. Ramsey is a very good football player, the Pats have several solid corners who work excellently within the system.Thoughts
-i feel like we have three CBs on our roster all better than jalen
-hypothetically, if we wanted to trade Gilmore then, we should be able to get more than two 1sts and a 4th??? I think other teams might be afraid of how they’d looked bad trading w pats so don’t do these extravagant deals w us
I tell you why; because their multi-million dollar jobs are on the line. Better to mortgage the future than lose your jobs now. So the mindset is totally different. Why do GM's/HC's continue to make these blatantly TERRIBLE decisions in the NFL. And why do we, as mere fans, see this going wrong from a mile away?
Just like I did when the Bears sold the farm for Mack, I'm gonna say this is a terrible, terrible decision that the Rams will regret when they need to address any roster issue in the upcoming future.
Ramsey is good but is he winning-but-still-bark-at-your-HC good.Gilmore is the only corner we have that is better than Jalen Ramsey. Ramsey is a very good football player, the Pats have several solid corners who work excellently within the system.
