Anyone know if he is gonna make his usual Patriots Monday appearence on WEEI?
5PM. New time for his weekly interview moving forward this season (as opposed to 5:30 in previous years), barring extenuating circumstances of course.
Simulcast on WEEI.com/Patriots.com and available for podcast on WEEI.com after that.
Thanks for listening.
He'd better not be crying
5pm is a really bad time for me but the archive is must listen for me on Tuesday mornings.
The press conference, Brady from this morning and Mr. and Mrs. Bruschi after the press conference are all up now :
Patriots Monday and Friday
I'm pretty sure it’s a contractual obligation of the current Coach/QB to attend the designated time slots.
It's a deal with the Patriots and WEEI, not Bill or Tom individually.
Chris can comment if he wants to - But that's my understanding.
Dear Big Show Andy,
Will your sole participation in this forum be to advertise upcoming WEEI shows and events? If so, can you explain why this isn't an improper commercial use of the forum?
I won't if you don't want me to; didn't plan on starting any threads or anything. Joined up a few months back to post the time of our (last minute) off-season Bill interview but the account wasn't verified in time to make that post, but got a nice welcome note from Ian so I figured it was okay. I figured I'd use it now for that purpose - heard from Chris Price and some of the dot com guys that this was as good a place as any to reach Pats fans. But won't post these updates if its against the rules, sorry.
patchick - you are my favorite poster on this board but . . . I think keeping us up to date of when Bill, et al, are coming up is wholly appropriate. It's not like he's advertising weight loss or "male enhancement" products.
Yeah, I'm probably a little over-sensitive to this. FWIW it comes from running my own website and seeing the ever-increasing flood of companies approaching me and every other site owner, blogger, etc. to try to use our sites for free placements and promotion. Meanwhile nobody's willing to actually PAY for advertising anymore (just ask Ian). Plus a flood of PR hacks here promoting every upcoming media appearance would be a nuisance.
That said, if everybody else appreciates the WEEI updates I'll quash my little hangups.
If it's for a Patriot, I'm OK with it.
I'm all for updates of any of the sports shows when they are going to have interviews with members of the Patriots.
OK, quashing hangups in 10, 9, 8...
BTW, if I were an outlet like WEEI I'd make a little feed widget to place on sites like this in lieu of traditional ads. It would always show alerts/schedules of upcoming Patriots programming (or Celtics, Bruins, etc.) in a prominent place on the page. Super-easy to implement, show yourself as a sponsor of a popular site, deliver a constant reminder to tune in to the station, and help counter the impression that WEEI is baseball 24/7.
Well played, Patchick.
Big Show Andy - Get it to PODCAST soon, I've noticed that there are very few Podcasts from the Big Show in relation to the other Weekly shows on WEEI. Why is that??
Aside from the Whiner Line, you rarely have a daily update.
I live in Atlanta and try and get as much loaded from iTunes as possible and I listen live on FLYCAST on my iPhone when I can, but there's nothing like a podcast for ease of use.
Patchick, I'm a 'low on the totem pole' guy, but I will certainly pass that up the chain, thanks.
Is patsfans becoming a hangout for more than just the regular guy/gal ? Price, Andy, SMY... what next ? BB himself ?
Looking forward to the interview this afternoon with coach. Seemed quite emo earlier. Hopefully he's back to his "I'd cut my grandmother from the 53 if it meant winning a game" mode.
BB is singing Bruschi's praises at this moment.
Just got tuned in.
Post-stroke: Once Bruschi started coming into the facility, he looked better every day, and you could see the progress.
On the release of O'Connell "I'd say in a sense it was a combination of things."
There you have it. Definitive explanation. lol
I've gotten so used to the BB way that I'm astonished whenever another coach gives a detail explanation of a personnel decision, injury, etc. Everybody talks about the "secretive" aspect of it, but in cases like released players there's nothing to be secretive about. It's just respectful toward the player not to badmouth him.
I missed the interview. Anyone have a link to the audio? It is not up on weei yet.
I've been out on the road most of today and listening to EEI. They did a good job covering the Tedy story, even the Big Show.
I did miss the BB interview and would have like to heard him crying like a little girl. I was out of the car from 5-6 when they had him on. Got back in a little after 6 and by then they were back talking their ususal baseball crap.
