If you could have brought back a Patriots player from the past (during the BB and Brady years)to have helped us defeat the New York Giants in the Super Bowl who would you have figured would have made the biggest difference in winning the game instead of losing,Who would have been the difference maker?

Base you choice on how they played in NE during the Glory years - NOT thier current play since they have aged a bit and a bit less talented now

I voted for Willie - We had NO outside pass rusher and that is another reason why we lost,
Ty Law would have been a good choice too but with a good pass rush the secondary only needs to be consistent and smart, not great

    Ty Law (circa 2003)

Plug him in for either corner. He doesn't drop that INT, and he doesn't let Plaxico get a freebie in the endzone with the game on the line.

Easy: John Hannah at his peak was a monster O Line man. They wouldn't have gotten through as much with him in their faces.

Ty Law was great, but if we had Hannah we wouldn't have to worry about whether we could score more than 17 points.

Corey Dillon. Maroney had a great first kickoff return and nice first series but then became a ghost. Cost us huge on that 3rd and 1.

I miss having the big ol' powerful clock killin' physical Corey Dillion. :(

Runner Up: Ty Law / Adam "BB would have just had me kick the FG on 4th and 13" Vinatieri

Ty Law would have had an interception.....he could read Eli's body language like our boys can't.

    1. DB was not the Pats major problem. They had no pass rush. With no pass rush, any half decent QB can pick a team apart. For this reason, I vote for Willie first, Vinatieri second for his ability to kick in clutch situations.

    2. No one offensive linemen from the past would have helped the Pats situation. The Giants came from every angle. You would have had to bring back Woody and Hog Hanna to help the situation.

    Hannah, the obvious choice.

Though we had the personnel to run it, just didn't do it.

Big Willie Style...Manning wouldn't have maybe been "in the grasp", he would have been facing the dome roof.
