If Brady accepts any type of suspension, I'll have no choice but to assume that he did in fact engage in illegal ball manipulation*. The only other option I would have is to lose all respect for him, because an innocent man does not accept punishment unless he is a coward, and Tom Brady is not a coward.

* not that I think it affects his play (see home vs. road splits)

No, he has not addressed any of it, at least to my knowledge.

We live in a social media era where bad information and incorrect sources are published all the time. I'm not surprised in the least, although if he were anything of a man, he would at least step up and admit his mistake.

Good point. I can see both sides to the argument. While I agree that a lot of people would see it as a sign of guilt, I also agree with you that we should probably hold off on reaching that conclusion.

4/5 of all criminal court cases are pleaded out, so we can safely assume that not ALL of these 80% are guilty. That said, I would have to place anyone innocent in a fairly small window, maybe 10-15% at best. The rest are indeed, guilty.

This example may not apply to Brady's case since he isn't facing punishment through our judicial system, but it is something to think about in terms of those who accept something even when they are innocent.

Dumb is far too kind, Mort's report was a flat out lie and he has made no effort to come clean about it. I am all for journalists protecting honest sources but publishing lies that do extensive damage and further an obvious agenda is beyond disgraceful and borders on criminal. And the fact that not one colleague has called him out on it is equally disgraceful. Making matters even worse is the fact that the information wasn't mistaken it was fabricated. No such results existed and his "source" simply pushed them out there to pay the league to go after the Patriots?

Think I will start texting Dale and Holley to ask Mortenson about this when he comes on with them again. Hopefully others do the same.
