Heading into His 30th Year, Patriots Coach Scarnecchia Still Proving The Power of Coaching
By: Christine Roy

It's no secret that for the past few years, the Patriots have dominated defenses throughout the league and Dante Scarnecchia has been a big reason for that....

They should waive the waiting period for coaches to be nominated to the Patriots' Hall of Fame.

It makes sense for players, who retire in their 30s, but not for coaches, who may never retire.

Dante is an inspiration to all. First and foremost he's extremely competent and effective. Secondly he's doing an arduous long hours high pressure job well into his 60s. And finally unlike many older guys he doesn't have a huge male pregnancy stomach tumor; he's extremely fit. How he does all this is remarkable.

Yes, Pats HOF the day he retires. Waive the rules Bob Kraft.

Repeating what was already said, but obvious lock for the Patriots HOF. I wish he got more credit to casual fans/non Patriots fans, but I'm not sure he's cared. Been offered other jobs elsewhere but always turned them down.

Best assistant coach in the NFL.

tony just modify your sig from Amendola to "The Porcelain Italian" and you'll be all set!

The only chef that can turn chicken **** into chicken salad at certain points when injuries mount up. Awesome, awesome coach.

The best thing Ron Meyer ever did for the Patriots was bringing Dante into Foxboro as an assistant.

Perhaps the most remarkable thing Dante ever did was to take over for **** MacPherson and somehow win back to back games as head coach; that '92 team was devoid of talent.

How did I not know or remember that? Maybe I'd timed out on that season. Thanks for the (ugh) memory update. Dante bees da man!
