Green Dots

I watched 2 or three footbal games yesterday and noted that the quaterbacks had what looked like a 1 inch Green DOT on the back of their helmat.

Does anyone know what they are? what they are for.

I saw one on the back of ROMOs helmet as well as Rivers and again tonight on Eli Manning. Again it is only the quaterback..

I think its the helmets with mic's. So the QB's know which is which.

Not positive, but thats what I told my Dad when he asked and he bought it.

Your right. That's what it is, only one offensive player is allowed to have a Mic and the green dot identifies him to the officials.

Honestly I never noticed them before this year, I think its new.

Nope.

The green dots indicate that the helmet has a radio in it. There can be only one on the field at a time.
