I don't start threads as much I once did. Too many verbal beatdowns, lol.
Still, I think this short-week stuff is interesting. I assume the guys still rest today, aside of treatment and some film study?
I wondered why Tate didn't get anything done in the passing game yesterday and was honestly surprised to see Taylor inactive again. Maybe even a bit cheesed off.
But the more I think about it, the more I wonder if Tate, Edelman and Taylor will have increased roles this week? Coming off a short week with some genuinely rested guys on offense, against a hopefully weaker team (though on national TV) seems like a positive.
My thoughts are that Taylor is active and Tate takes a heap of snaps against the Lions out of multiple TE formations. It's possible we don't go that route, but I think it's a good game for Taylor to get his sea-legs back. Maybe we'll even put it away early enough for Hoyer to get some work.
Anyway, anyone familiar with how the short-week to long-week schedule might look? And how would you game-plan this thing?
