Galloway Says He & Patriots Weren't 'a Good Fit'

The question that stems from this, I guess, is *why* didn't the WR3 have much of a role in the offense? If it's because Joey Galloway sucked and was useless, then that makes sense. If that's just how it is now with the Pats, then our offensive gameplanning has managed to go an neutralize one of Brady's greatest strengths.

There's no reason to believe that the offensive philosophy shifted from 2007-2008 to this accused Moss/Welker only style in 2009. Galloway just sucked unfortunately, so does Aiken and anything else we had for WR3.

galloway, 37 years old nuff said. Sam Aiken, is a ST player and a #5 WR at best. Julian Edelman, had a nice game VS the jets then got hurt but end it the year as the pats #1 target. if the pats go out and get a real WR and still don't throw him the ball. then we can worry.

my biggest problem is the pats not useing the TE was there any reason for every route that watson ran to be 15 yerds or more. moss was running a post 90% of the time with 2 or 3 guys covering him. at the end of the season teams were puting 2 guys on welker, if watson would have ran a 7 yerd route in the middle of the field. that would have been open all day.

but the pats offense. this year was every one go deep and block for welker so he can catch a 3 yerd pass and turn it in to a 9 yerd pass.

The Pats should go back to there 2004 offense built around RB like Dillon and Brady throwing a higher % of downfield shots instead of the run n shoot dink and dunk offense they have become.

Unfortunately, due to injuries and whatnot, our blocking was lacking throughout the season. For this reason, when in 2TE sets, Watson was primarily a blocker (along with Baker). This is the reason why we didn't use the TE's as much as possible. When our O-Line was healthy and on their game, we used the TE's in the passing game (see the Tampa game). However, injuries along the O-Line and spotty blocking which forced us to put Watson and Co. on the LOS to protect Brady are just one of the many reasons why our passing game was not up to par this season.
