BSMW and Cold Hard Football Facts have teamed up to state the case against Ron Borges. There is also a link to an e-mail petition to the Globe to fire him.

I wonder how many e-mails the Globe will get?

haha, sorry about that. I do like my title to the thread better, though. More to the point, lol.

I agree with that. :D

I sent them an e-mail. I am even going to boycott their site as much as that pains me not to read Reiss.

oh, come on, :D I thought a call to arms was pretty stirring - you can almost hear the marching bands.

Thanks for the heads up.. GREAT ARTICLE and has a lot of facts to backup the point of it.. I usually don't follow up with these, especially against Borges but I felt this was a well deserved cause..

I complained to the Globe, and this is the answer I got back from [email protected]

"Ron Borges is one of the best football writers in the country. As the
author of "On Football" stories in the Globe, he's paid to have an opinion.
One of his most recent opinions was that Bill Belichick should be the NFL's
Coach of the Year. In past stories he has written that as a member of the
Pro Football Hall of Fame selection committee, he will lead the effort for
Belichick's induction when the time comes. I see no bias in his work at the
Globe."

How should I respond?

A response I got from CHF as of 12pm PST said there had been at least 400 e-mails today and that they are all receiving the same auto-response from Sullivan.

Should we flood Mike Reiss' mailbag with questions about how the Globe can allow Borges to stay on?

Hate to drag him into it but if we expect action to be taken on this we'll have to resort to alternate strategies in mass.
