My guess is all these analysts have and will bet on the Patriots, and knowing this will pump them up, increases their chances of cashing in :)

But, Adam Vinatieri was instrumental in 6-8 wins per season. Without him, neither of the 03/04 teams would have even won 10 games. And last years team? :bricks:

At least, that's what I've heard
Ãt wasn´t nearly that many.
In 2003 there were

0 regular season games won by 3 points or less. 2 PO games won by 3 points.

In 2004 there were

0 regular season games won by 3 points or less. SB won by 3 point.

In 2005 there were

2 regular season games won by 3 points or less. 0 PO games.

And you´re assuming no other kicker would have make those kicks. We will never know about that.

I think Denver is the team to beat,if they can make it out of their division.

Drafting Cutler will make the Broncos contenders for a long time.

AFC East-Who else?(PATS)
AFC North-Ravens(McNair makes a huge difference)
AFC South-Colts(%@%*&+)candy #$$ division
AFC West-Broncos

AFC Wild Card:Dolphins,Jags(2 weakest divisions and easy schedules)

NFC East-Iggles(Stallworth will make the difference)
NFC North-Bears(I guess,who else?)
NFC South-Panthers(Best balanced team out there)
NFC West-Seahawks(no competition in that division)

NFC Wild Card:Cowboys,Buccaneers

AFC
Pats and Colts(BYE)
Broncos over Jags
Ravens over Dolphins

NFC
Bears and Seahawks(BYE)
Iggles over Bucs
Panthers over Cowboys

AFC Division
Pats over Ravens
Colts over Broncos

NFC Division
Panthers over Bears
Iggles over Seahawks

AFC Championship
Pats over Colts(in Indy)

NFC Championship
Iggles over Panthers

Super Bowl XLI
Pats over Iggles (again)

Yes,I accept the fact that I am a Homer(d'ooh)

I believe they base their "predictions" on our coaching/player losses during the offseason rather than what we've gained and what we've shown in pre-season. It's done pretty early with insufficient information to make a accurate judgement. I expect the Dolphins to be competitive but they are not yet at the Patriots performance level. And the Colts? *sigh* Every year the same old, same old. But, as we've seen in the big game opportunities that Peyton has been given he's never produced in as many attempts. Shhh...keep it under your hat but some analysts are finally moving Brady above the God-like stat generator Manning because Peyton gets his "happy feet" in the big games when under pressure from a great defense. Personally, all these pre-season predictions are about as accurate as a palm reader. A lot depends upon the team's schedule (ours is great), injuries (and we're totally unable to predict *that*) and the intangibles. So a loud raspberry to all those who waste their time trying to "pick" the divisions/SB conenters Who can take them seriously? I mean really? :p

As we all know, invaraibly these analysts like to predict the downfall of the patriots. They like names they can remember, they have small brains. So if they lose three of the names they can remember, then those that step up and replace them have not found thier way into thier vocabulary.

So the loss of the now Colt's Kicker, can not be replaced, because it will take a year or two for them to remember Gostowski's name.

We have just too much turn over for them to keep up with. During the play by play of the game against the redskins, they got the defensive coordinator wrong and keep calling McDanniels the Quarter Backs coach. They are damaged people.

Don Criquei(spelling)should retire.

I thought Sterling(where's the mute button?)Sharpe was bad.

Don(let me guess)Crick(hee) is the worst.

Rodney's disrespect meter is about to explode with all of the Dolphin-love.
