1) Keith Darbut, OLB, Wallace Baldwin. The more I've read about this kid and the more videos I've seen, the more intrigued I am.

We all know how Al Davis of the Raiders picks the fastest guy at the combine as his first choice. I, on the other hand, want to play it safer and take somebody who runs a 4.40 in the 40, bench press 26, vertical jump 38". You got to love those numbers. He's 6'4" but only 229 lbs., so if we can throw some weight on him he might truly be a diamond in the rough. A Gary Guyton that can play outside. By the way, Football Weekly gave Brooks Reid a number of 5.62 and Keith Darbut got a 5.10. I think he's worth a shot.

2) Brandon Bair, DE, Oregon. Draft Breakdown ranked him ahead of Alan Bailey as a 5 technique DE. At 27 he's mature but like so many that have caught my eye, he needs the weight room and a lot of good cooking, cause he needs to add about 20 lbs. to his 6'6" frame.

3) Joe Lefeged, S, Rutgers (KR). The kid runs a 4.43 in the 40. Just want to see what he can do.

4) Deunta Williams, S, NC. Every draft site had him in the top 5 but because of his leg injury, he didn't get drafted. If he's healthy, come on in.

- Mark Herzlich
- Blaine Sumner (NOT the gay porn star)
- Marc Schiechl

- Jason McCourty, yes Devin McCourty's twin brother, I know he's not a UDFA but he was picked in the 7th round and hasn't done much, I'm hoping we could trade for him.

Defensively only interested in 3 OLB developmental types, we agree on one

Tom McCarthy Yale (6-4 255 4.65) - vertical jump 35”, broad 10.5’, 2x team captain – needs year of development for strength

Keith Darbut Baldwin-Wallace (6-4 240 4.50) bench 26 reps, vertical jump 38”, broad 10.5’, 1.42 10-yd

Marc Schiechl Colorado School of Mines (6-3 250 4.65) bench 38 reps, vertical jump 35”, broad 10.5’

I like taking a flyer on Joe Lefeged for practice squad.:rocker:

I'm a big Lefeged fan. Worst case scenario, he's competition for a gunner role at 210 pounds with a 4.42 40. None of the OLB candidates really excite me, as the Pats already picked their developmental guy in Carter.
