Bitter sweet to be sure, but he does have a WR or two. Who knows? With that defense he won't have to put up big numbers to keep them competitive. Maybe Fitzgerald will finally get some QB love.

I hope he does great, though he's playing one of the best defenses in the NFL. If he plays well, it will give credence to the idea that the Pats are good at developing QBs, and might even possibly have an indirect effect on Ryan Mallett's value.

If Someone told me that Larry Fitzgerald would have less yards than Brandon Lloyd,I would have made them a resident of an insane asylum.

A beat writer in Arizona tweeted that Hoyer will be their 7th QB to play in 3 years.

I hope he can make the most of this chance.

Me too! When did he sign with the Cardinals? Obviously I missed it!

Best of luck to Brian, he just needed a chance and it looks like it's a great opportunity for him to show what he can do.

His bar isn't very high to succeed in that organisation:

    Kevin Kolb 8TD's, 3 Int's

    Other ARI QB's combined - 2TD's, 17 Int's

    Incredible stat.

I beg to differ - it sounds like the bar is set very high indeed. Even Sanchez would be challenged to live up to those kind of numbers. :bricks:

10 TDs all season. In 10 games, GRONK has 10 TDs.

That was when they still had Kevin Kolb.

Why condolences? I think Hoyer is a competent QB who should hold his own. I hope he makes a name for himself out there. He deserves it.

    Disable Jersey

Because his first NFL start is for the reeling Cardinals and is against a, no doubt, very pissed off 49ers team...

It almost certainly won't happen, but it would be really strange if Tom Brady's backup for three years were to beat the team he lost to, two weeks ago.

And he would be doing it with the worst offense in the league on the road, while Brady failed with the best offense at home
