Lewis is in the thick of some elite company in this man's opinion.

5. Dion Lewis, Patriots The film shows that Lewis consistently makes the first defender miss as both a runner and a receiver. Pro Football Focus' metrics back that up, as Lewis is leading all NFL running backs with 17 forced missed tackles and an off-the-charts Elusive Rating. It was evident after Lewis' New England debut that he was already an upgrade over Shane Vereen, offering more versatility, lateral agility, explosiveness and power.

Bill Belichick paid him the ultimate compliment last week, refusing to yank him despite a second fumble in as many games. Unwanted and out of the league last year, Lewis is simply too valuable to take off the field this season.

He also thinks the Patriots don't have a top 10 front 7...

I don't think that's crazy. The interior of our DL is a combination of decent players and untested players. Mayo doesn't quite look like himself yet. Collins, Jones, Nink and Hightower are all good to great, however. But I can see a case for other DLs being better. I'd have to sit and really think about how many.

That's some **** we aint never seen before kid!

David Johnson has 7 NFL touches from scrimmage...

Loved when Lewis jumped into Gronk's arms (that was gronk right), after his TD.

Wasn't he the one people were comparing to MJD when he came out of college?

Glad to see him making a name for himself. Anyone know how long his contact us? Methinks he's going to get paid well the next go round.

Lewis will be a Restricted Free Agent next season. So the Pats can keep him if they want to.

Gronk's post-TD group hugs are a thing now. The guy has a HUGE wingspan; he really can hug 3 fellow NFL players at once.

BB seems to approve too. He was complimenting the TD celebrations in his breakdown-with-Zolak video, and I don't recall that ever happening before.

Classic Bill Belichick. Colts throw a boat load of money at Gore, who is broken down. Giants yank Vereen away and Pats choose not to match. Pats sign a borderline camp tryout guy and make him better than either of those two guys, for much less money.
