Is this what you meant to post?
The New York Post has outdone itself this time. An All-timer. on Twitpic
they forgot to use the best one:
This is awesome - I love being the Evil Empire!
Wow, this really is their Super Bowl, eh?
this is awesome.....
Rex as Han Solo? (I suppose they knew they couldn't do the obvious one with Jabba Wrecks)
Joe Namath as Yoda??
I don't think so, guys.
"Time to KO the bully"??? This must mean the Post is now rooting for the Pats!
Ironically the Jets have earned an evil empire tag lately with all their trash talk.
True - the rebels were a bit more humble, were they not?
Epic story of Mark Pickthrower. Would this make Ryan's name Han SOLE-o. (Bah dum dum cshh)....That was an awful pun, I apologize.
Mangold as an Ewok is easily the best part of this picture.
Too funny. I love how New York, NEW FREAKING YORK is b*tching about evil empires, lol!
Wow that's awesome. TIME TO KO THE BULLY!
Role reversal. Newspapers played out the whole theme the other way around with the Red Sox and Yankees in '04. So this is kind of derivative -- but well done.
I actually thought the Namath bit was kind of inspired. Namath, Mangold and Michelle Ryan all work for me. The weak side by far is the portrayal of the Patriots.
But the really hilarious part: everybody has to dress in costumes to suggest mythical figures of superhuman powers...except Brady. Just being Brady is apparently enough.
16-page pullout section for a divisional round playoff game?!?! A bit much, don't you think?
That picture is full of win. Ryan's wife in the bikini. Rex's gut hanging out. The Mangold ewok...there is just so much to take from it.
No, that was week 2.
Kinda liked this one:
not really a big star wars fan or anything, it is ok and all...
but that picture is awesome.
I'm not sure why, but for some reason your links never link - and when I copied and pasted the URL you placed, it was for something that had nothing to do with football.
Anyways, here is the cover R_T26 was referring to:
Time to KO the bully.. WTF is that all about????
It's their last hurrah for the season, so why not?
Scroll away, for more play
I think I'm on a roll
May the Farce be with you.
Stay cool people, do your job.
First class dignity, grace.
But bring it.
The great Mr. Kraft, to whom we owe a debt we cannot pay:
"I don't want to speak to how other people do things or be judgmental about what motivates other people," Kraft said Thursday in an interview with The Associated Press.
"But stylistically, I think we do things a little bit different than the folks we're playing this weekend." "in the end there's a lot of little kids watching. There's a lot of people who look up to us and so I think we've got to walk on a higher plane. But what's right for some people to get motivated, I don't want to be judgmental of what's right for them. Our style is to let our actions speak louder."
What if an expletive was an appropriate description of an opponent?
"Even if it was true," he said, "it wouldn't be our style."
And, in Brady's case, Kraft said,
"I happen to feel it's untrue."
New York is feeling desperate. That's a funny cover however. So the Pats are stormtroopers and bb is darth vader. But who is Brady supposed to be? I guess he's scary enough, starring as himself?
My guess would be Anakin Skywalker
Joe Nameth as Yoda:
"Kiss you I want to"
Luke: What the hell are you talking about, are you drunk?
Rex Ryan as Han Solo:
(To Princess Leia (played by Mrs. Ryan) right before being carbon frozen)
Rex: "I love your feet"
Wife: "I know"
