Faulk and use Brady's spot for his roster spot, BB said he has a one day exemption for Faulk and that Brady has not been placed on the IR.
I am not saying he won't be - but BB did not add he was going too......
I am just saying.
Because it was not done...the move not officially completed...I heard it also...it wasn't that I didn't believe Brady was going on IR. It was funny the way that BB said Brady hadn't been placed on IR. Why would he say that? Just typicall BB.
They are making other moves..there's no rush..they will not waste a space on a QB that is having surgery..so, why hasnt he been placed on i.r. yet? do they have to file papers with the league, or something?
STATEMENT FROM THE NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS ON TOM BRADY
"After extensive tests this morning, it was revealed that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's left knee, which was injured in the first quarter of yesterday's game, will require surgery. He will be placed on injured reserve and will miss the remainder of the 2008 season."

when we place Brady on the IR, does that free up his cap number for this season.
If it does, are we allowed to say, sign Wilfork to an extension, give him a big Signing Bonus, and place all of that Bonus this year. Obviously, this will be tremendous for years to come because the cap hit will already have taken place, giving us more room to pick up guys. it could be a very nice, unintended result of bradys injury
So has Brady actually been put on IR yet? I'm praying Belichick is pulling more of his injury report shenanigans again, putting out reports that it's a torn ACL, then never actually IRing him, then Tom magically comes out of the tunnel around Week 6. Wishful thinking.
Oh well. Thanks for the link.New England Patriots 9/8 Tom Brady (QB) Placed on IR (knee).

God it sucks even seeing that in print.
We are getting info third and fourth hand.
If there is a conflict between the medical people with most saying this is season ending but a few that saying that might be ready to go in 6 weeks or it might be a season ender but they need a couple of more days to be sure. And I was BB I would want to make damn sure there is no way TB is going to be healthy before December before I put him on IR. Otherwise I save a roster spot.
