As of today, Rob Gronkowski leads all receivers in the NFL in yards per catch with 22.1. When has any tight end led the league in yards per catch midway through the season? Heck, the great, underappreciated Stanley Morgan (19.2 yards per catch lifetime) only topped that figure three times in a fourteen year career. As a point of reference, Ben Coates averaged 11.1 yards per catch during his career and Tony Gonzales, 11.4 yards per reception. Prior to this season, Gronk has averaged 14.5 yards per catch.
