You could argue that winning is too heavily slanted when considering QBs, but I think there is merit. The position is crucial. And performing in tough spots is a way to define greatness. Luck has fallen short.
This is fair.I don't think Luck's been quite what many thought he would be, but I think it's unfair to lay all of that on him. That team's been under completely incompetent leadership for years. Remember, The year before "Suck for Luck", Manning had managed only a 10-6 record, and Luck managed to drag that team to 11-5 in each of his first 3 seasons.
And, I don't know anyone who claims his play has been at the "generational" level, to date, so I'm not really sure how overrated even comes into the equation, because he's obviously a very good QB when healthy.

I still think he's a bit further away from what many though (think) he'd be (is).

Every other scout, every other executive, literally every single individual involved in the NFL in any capacity said “Indy’s run defense is trash, they should draft Malcom Brown right now”... but Grigson could see beyond what everyone else could see - he felt, no he KNEW - what Indy REALLY needed was yet another fast receiver, one that would ultimately give the team nothing and be traded for New England’s third-string QB because all of Indy’s other QBs besides Luck were inexplicably still trash.
Lets say Luck checks out ok after this would anybody be opposed to him being Brady's eventual successor?? I think Luck is going to be really good for his next Team.
"Salty" Andy Luck is getting no more than he deserves for having the nerve to complain about what he knew was the charade of Deflategate and for being associated with the team that Irsay and Grigson built and that helped set up Tom Brady.Long predicted and no surprise.
It's too bad what Andrew Luck has had to endure playing for the Colts. It reminds me of Archie Manning and the Saints. Perhaps some day Luck will get a team more worthy of his talent.

That would be hilarious. Colts get a great talent at QB and have completely screwed himSuck for Luck's Replacement
Absolutely agree! Luck would be a great player here in New England. Sadly his career has been wasted by a lousy coach and lousy organization. The guy has spent his career running for his life behind a terrible O line that's never been fixed.Luck has (had?) all the tools to become a great QB and he came in NFL ready but unfortunately for him he was drafted by a dysfunctional organization and had to work with a dumbass coach who knows nothing. There is no way Luck doesn't succeed with BB as his coach unless he is too stubborn. Just by cutting those stupid picks out of the picture his play and results would improve drastically and that would be the first thing BB (or any other decent coach) would do.

I'm just shocked that they got this guy giftwrapped and they dont upgrade their offensive line to protect him.We would have won a Super Bowl with Andrew Luck here since 2012.
Frankly, the logical course for Indy is to shut AL down and draft a stud QB next year.
As a proven franchise QB, a healed AL would be worth a fortune with so many teams (AZ, Minn, Jax, Giants, TB, Denver, Carolina....) in win now mode and needing a QB.
The reality is Indy is so far away, their only hope in the tournament is massive talent upgrades.
