New mock out from NFLdraftscout.com by Chad Reuter:

NFL Draft - CBSSports.com Football

For the Pats:

23. Clay Matthews, OLB
34. Alphonso Smith, CB
47. Pat White, QB
58. Rashad Johnson, FS
89. TJ Lang, OL
97. Mike Goodson, RB

I don't like it. His other notable picks:

6. Cincinnati - Beanie Wells, RB; I hear Cincy loves Wells, but this seems high
9. GB - Tyson Jackson, DE
14. NO - Malcolm Jenkins, CB
18. Aaron Maybin, DE/OLB
19. Everette Brown, DE
21. Donald Brown, RB
25. Robert Ayers, DE/OLB
26. Rey Maualuga, ILB
30. Darius Butler, CB
31. Michael Johnson, DE
36. Connor Barwin, OLB - Barwin to the Ratfink would get me on prozac
37. William Beatty, OT
43. Hakeem Nicks, WR
48. Sean Smith, CB/S
51. William Moore, S
52. Jarron Gilbert, DE - Gilbert to the Jest would double my prozac dose
55. Louis Delmas, S
62. Clint Sintim, LB
72. Patrick Chung, S
77. Bradley Fletcher, CB - this guy could be a sleeper BB pick
81. Jason Williams, LB

I'd much rather go:

23. Connor Barwin, OLB
34. William Beatty, OT
47. Louis Delmas, S
51. Jarron Gilbert, DE (trade 58 + 124 to Dallas; otherwise go Clint Sintim at 58)
89. TJ Lang, OT/G
97. James Casey, TE - I'd rather have Casey than Pat White, and 47 is way too high for White

Adding Alphonso Smith & Rashad Johnson to a roster that already boast Meriweather & Sanders would give the Pats the savviest, most skillful, most aware, smallest, slowest & least athletic backfield in the league.

I certainly wouldn't draft Smith in any round, but Jenkins and Delmas (our board favorites) would be even slower than these two.

I dont have permission to post the link, but Rotoworld (pancake bocks column) has us taking Robert Ayers. You'll have to google "pancake blocks mock".

The Pats pick was made by Gregg R- who IMO is the best fantasy guy on the web.

Slow, yes, but bigger and quicker/more athletic than Smith & Johnson.

Smith's a tough one -- he's an admirable football player and you can point to Brandon Flowers as a small/slow CB who had a great rookie year, but Flowers at least had elite quickness. Smith was one of the smallest corners at the combine and put up some of the slowest shuttle/cone numbers. That's a deadly combination.

Rashard Johnson is going to be solid as a pro. Gut Feeling.

I'm not sure what's slow about Jenkins and Delmas. They each ran about a 4.5 40. That's pretty average (even on the fast side for a safety). But they had blazing short shuttle and 3 cone times. I don't think of either player as "slow" by any means.
