I am amazed at how many Chargers PLAYERS are publicly getting into how upset they are about being disrespected. They are totally ignoring that they lost the game. It is as if they didn't mind losing to the Patriots. No, that was fine, but the Patriots behaved badly afterwards and that is unacceptable.
It reminds me of the 2001 Raiders, and how they just focused on the tuck rule, ignoring the fact that ten minutes of football was played after the ruling, and that they needed to play better. They got zonked in the superbowl the following year and have been crap ever since.
The Chargers are on a slippery slope.
What those guys need to do is forget how the Patriots danced, and concentrate on how they lost the game. As long as they treat the fact that they lost as inconsquential, they will be stuck.
I can understand fans. I was pretty upset about the loss in Denver last year, and I was more concerned about the officials than the Pats' play. But fortunately the team was better than I, and hit the off-season with the plan of being better.
How long are the Chargers going to milk this?
