Not exactly: the Dolts get to play the NFC South, but they also have to play the other AFC South teams, while the Pats have to play the NFC East, but also get to beat up on the Doofins, the JEST, and the injury-ravaged Bills.

I've relaxed my desire.

I will now be satisfied if the Pats go on a 9-0 run. What's so hard about that? Plenty of teams in the NFL have runs of 9-0.

Really now. While the SB is the priority its not far-fetched to say that losing a game will be a disappointment to the Pats and their fans. The Pats have already won SBs. But they have an opportunity to make history, to be mentioned year in and out as one of the NFLs all time great teams, if not the best. Winning the SB will further solidify the millennium Pats as a dynasty but they have an opportunity this year to be something far more.

I think its kind of funny actually. If the Pats do lose a game I'm convinced the reaction from most of the Pats nation will be 'dang, now we'll have to settle for just a SB!'.
