B+. Mayo and Wolfe said supporting Maye is the priority and they followed through even if Maye sits (unlikely.) Doesn't make much sense to draft a QB at 1.03 and then draft DBs.
1. The reality is starting LTs are selected at the top of R1. Even Guyton (DAL) was a RT. The remaining OTs they...
I'll add Theo Johnson (9.9 RAS) to Baker (X, so probably not as they got Polk) or Walker (vertical threat.) More likely they're interested in Bub Means though.
I'd prefer all offense, but expect they go EDGE and DB, with a possible trade down.
So on Discord, lots of rumors floating about, including Maye to WAS and NE taking JJ. I used the ESPN mock sim as users can actually trade down. Before I started the sim, I traded with NYG and then moved to 5 with LAC (NYG took MHJ and Denver moved to 4 for Daniels lol.) Personally I don't...
Guyton is the only tackle within reach that could possibly start at LT. All the others (Kingsley et al) available in the 2nd or 3rd are projects. Meaning going into the season, the NE starting LT is a guy who played RT for PIT but got benched halfway through the season.
Maye has more upside than Daniels, but OTOH Daniels is more pro ready. WAS is in a better position than NE to be competitive next year, that and they have six picks in the top 100. Their new GM Adam Peters is widely regarded as one of the best talent evaluators in the league and there's a good...
Drake Maye QB UNC
Blake Fisher OT Notre Dame
Caedan Wallace OT Penn State
Javon Baker WR UCF
Bub Means WR Pittsburgh
Tanner McLachlan TE Arizona
Jalyx Hunt EDGE Houston Christian
Jaylin Simpson CB AUBURN
I take Guyton or Kingsley if they're available. (I wouldn't take Jones in the 2nd. ) If not, try to trade back from 34 to 40ish and get an additional early 4th. Take BPA WR at e.g. 40, then trade 68+100 to move back up in the 2nd for either OT/WR.
Two ways to approach it I think.
1. Completely punt on QB and take a Michael Pratt or Jordan Travis later in the draft (4, maybe 5.) It's a caretaker position, akin to what Houston did with Mills. Use the premium picks (rounds 1-3) to load up on positions of need. I wager the chances are zero...
No one knows. The betting markets (which are a poor predictor) have them as even. Maye has long been QB2. Maye might need more work than JD, but has a higher upside. OTOH, JD might have a more "whizbang" appeal, and I suppose WAS ownership could pressure their FO to take him, but that seems...
The good thing about that site is that they seem to have a larger player selection. The negative thing is the logic needs work. :p I find these mocks fascinating and the different approaches everyone takes. I've discovered I hate trading up lol (because I've no idea if the picks are worth it for...
Isaac Gurendo, RB + Former receiver, 4.33 speed. Con: He's 24. 5th or later.
Dylan Laube, RB. Dane's "The Beast" has him rated as a UFDA. I think he gets drafted.
Tip Reiman, TE. 5th or later.
Reiman is a big-bodied player with good play strength who can be a valuable run blocker, and if he can...
