14-2 or 13-3. They'll take 2/3 out of four against Chargers, Denver, Indy, Pitts. And they'll have a letdown one of the other games.

I'm new to the forum, but do you guys think resting the starters in week 17 (Giants) would have changed the playoffs?

No.

The Ravens went from average to horrible after their even closer game with us, the fact the Giants got hot after that was IMO the fact the conference they were in still was far inferior the AFC thus a easier playoff run.

13 wins seems most likely IF the main players stay healthy MOST of the year if not all year - An Injury to Brady,Moss or any of the front 3 for an extended period of time will bring that down considerably.

Injuries are not an IF but WHO will have them and for how long,Thats the ONLY guarantee this year right now.

Kdo5 - 10-6 record you think really? - Then it must be for some reason but 6 losses is a bit of a longshot unless like I said above injuries pile up in key areas.

Matt Cassell as QB if Brady is hurt and we will pick AGAIN in the top 10 in '09 for a different reason than this year but thats not likely.

Well first off,this is my first post here and I named myself Jetstroll so you didnt have to.I mainly browse your forums at work just to pass the time.To be honest I wish I woulda browsed back when the pats were solid contenders for the AFCE basement every year just to see the change how your egos have evolved.

Heres my prediction for your beloved Pats this year and this is barring any major injuries either teams and my out look as to improvements or digressions from each

Im also taking into account that last year your first 8 games you scored an avg of 41 pts while giving up 16pts a game.Second half you scored an avg of 32 pts while giving up 18 and this includes your 56-10 drubbing of Buf. which balloons those last game stats a bit.My feeling is towards the end of the season opposing teams began to gameplan a touch better for you,and have had the whole offseason to GP more.Ok enough,here we go

KC- too many new faces and still not much Offense + Herm Edwards = You blow them out. 1-0

@NYJ- Lots of new talent,not alot of gel time,Huge rivalry= You guys win again but not a blowout 2-0

MIA- BP will make this team better,but not even close 3-0

BYE

@SF- You win,Nuff said 4-0

@SD- Still tough,Gonna be ready for you after you blew um out in reg season and beat them in champship game.You guys are in week 2 of west coast road trip.Sorry guys,there goes the perfect season 4-1

DEN- Dont see it.They play you tough but I think this is an easy one for you.5-1

STL- Better than their record last year.With everyone healthy,Squeaker,but you win 6-1

@IND- No explanation needed here.In NE i give ya the nod.Not in Indy again.6-2

BUF- This team has improved and I think will have a winning record but will not beat you at home. 7-2

NYJ- Heres the one that I will get flamed for.Jets play you better in Foxboro.New team should be gelling.Jets D will be tough this year.If O improves,we pull out a close one.7-3

@MIA- You guys will be pisssed cuz the JEST's just upset you in your house.Blowout 8-3

PIT- Close,but you beat um 9-3

@SEA- Tough place to play,They are still top of NFCW.Sorry gotta go with the birds. 9-4

@OAK- Even with your second west coast jet lag,you win 10-4

ARI- Loads of talent.They will score some points on ya but not enough. 11-4

@BUF- You may have division locked,They may be playing for a possible WC spot or possibly just pride,but they will play tough.Huge division rivalry.Bills win. 11-5

There ya go.Theres your season in a nutshell.Dont even have to play the games.Cuz I said so.

Actually I hope you fall on your faces and dont win a game all year but thats just the Jets fan in me.Anyway,good luck.

I know some will flame and call me a dumbass but thats the beauty in posting on forums cuz it really doesnt matter.Flame away!

This post has a familiar smell. It kinda smells like rotten tuna or this guy is the Jet's version of the one and only AquaSock.:rolleyes:

Wishful thinking.

So you think not only will the Patriots lose to the three best teams that they play, but they will also drop two games against the Jets and Bills?

Worst case scenario, anyone?

Not a bad breakdown except for the last Buff game, the Seahawk game, 2nd jet game, Indy game, and the Charger game.

Actually I can't fault you for giving your Jets one win (at least yuo didn't say 2). I do think the Chargers are going to be facing some tough times this season, Year two under Norv (we all know he sux) and Tomlinson isn't geting younger. I think the Buff win last week of the seaon was kind of a stupid reasoning, they could be fighting for a wild card and we could have it locked up but if that is the only way you have them winning than shouldn't you give it to the pats until the Scenario is actually upon us. I don't think the Hawks are all that good Just because they are atop a bad division. That leaves the Colts game, which is always fun and I wont argue with you hear because either team could win even though my answer obviously is the Pats.

As for the Seahawks.Not being all that good because of being atop a weak division.......That mean your 2007 Patriots werent that good?

Except for the fact that they were atop the weak division by not losing a single game.

I voted 11 and 5, because I thought it would piss some of you guy's off.

And because it is June, and as mention already predicting win/loss records this early is crap shoot any way

I agree, it is way to early.:)

I voted 14-2 because Denver and @Miami are traditional.

Eh, if you ask me, we shouldn't have even been 16-0 last year. If not for a boneheaded timeout by an overzealous defensive coordinator, we would have been 15-1.

Just so I can use one of the new smilies... to the Jets fan: :banned:

I vote 14-2. I think it would be tough to repeat last years performance.

KC- Win

@NYJ-Win

MIA- Win
BYE

@SF- Win

@SD- Loss Second game of West Coast swing. I think SD will finally get the Pats this game.

DEN- Win

STL- Win

@IND- Really tough call here. The usual tough game, but I think they could get us. Loss.

BUF- Win

NYJ- Win

@MIA- Win

PIT- Win

@SEA- Close but a win

@OAK- Win

ARI- Win

@BUF- Win

I think it's more likely that the Pats will lose a hiccup game than both to the Chargers and Colts.

Nah I was just messing with the poll. I'd reckon we'll at least go 12-4. 12-4 or 13-3 those would be my best bet.

But still anything could happen. I don't mean to sound pessimistic but its not like 11-5 isn't a possibility if we run into bad luck and lose key players due to injuries. Last season we seemed to really luck out in that category besides the injuries to Rosey and Morris. I am loving our offense but still not thoroughly convinced by our defense.
