Haha, that little CB my team just picked up from here got an INT in his first game. Way to go, lol.

Also Barnsie, the settings just don't work like that. You can set sub-in, sub-out per position and then you set the depth chart. You can tinker with that as much as you want, but you will never be able to specifically determine how many plays someone is going to get with that sort of certainty.

I mean, I will spend 30 minutes working on my chart and settings to try to get a specific backup more snaps, and he'll end one game with 15 snaps and another with 35 under the same settings.

Too much of it has to do with what happens in the actual game, so trying to make too many determinations as to how to fix X person's snaps, etc. can just end up having the opposite effect if you don't do it right.

Tobias, can't you do things like setting the energy settings to, say, 98/99 to rotate players? I think you can continue with that to make sure that snap counts end up 2:1 or similar. I know you can never get exactly 30 plays, but the idea is that you setup a situation where you get closer to that more often. Right now, we have lots of games where the starters will get 70+ and the backups very little.
 
I really don't like the idea of energy settings that rotate so quickly. If one guy is playing well and one guy isn't, it gives your team no chance to build any momentum.
 
I've been looking at the depth chart for special teams (yes, that bored today), and wanted to pass on some helpful observations.

I attached an overview with our ST lineup, and highlighted a few positions in yellow that we may want to shift around. For example, Chris Slay (LB) is in the KR wedge and center line, whereas his higher speed and lower blocking might be better used on a gunner.

However, in some cases, the higher level of the player may outweigh the relatively lower values in a specific skill.

Just food for thought, any discussion welcome.

Awesine wirj, I think it's probably best to take Chris Slay and put him on the KOS, and put him in as a gunner instead of RB. Any thoughts?

Also, I try to avoid dwelling on my guys' performances, but watching Tank's highlights from the last game is making me laugh. I guess those points in break through were well-spent:

Another interesting question -- has anyone ever seen a punt blocked? I suspect they haven't coded that into the game yet. If that's the case, then all of the KOS team should be the fastest and best-tackling defensive players. You could literally have all DBs/LBs/(maybe WR or HBs) on the KOS team.

So what if they can't block the other team's linemen -- if there are no punt blocks, as long as they can swarm downfield and get to the returner, you can really quash their returning yards.
 
Haha wow, Kicky had a huge game! 6/6 FG and 100% of our points. The other team was having just as much trouble finding the endzone so it turned into a battle of the kickers. Luckily we came out on top!
 
Distribution of plays is still at 82 to 23. It might have been a quirk of this particular game, though.

Tonight it was about 83 to 16. Our 3rd stringer got more than our 2nd stringer. There's plenty of snaps to get everybody 30+ a game, so it'd be nice to get those guys XP.
 
I'm pretty sure that the SA boost works just like the bonuses from normal equipment, in that it is ignored when you actually allocate points to it. For example, if I have 48 strength, but 5 of that comes from equipment, then the next 5 strength points only cost 1 instead of 2. Same for the SA tree and the bonuses received by equipment there. That makes the "rush one stat to 48" method the best and only way.

Totally missed the point, man.

What an UGLY game! So many turnovers!

On the plus side, my guy Fiddlers Green had 13 snaps, and another INT. Thats two INTs int the two games he's had more than a few snaps in. Not bad!
 
Hi guys, found the game through this thread and I got hooked almost immediately. My players are still in the D-leagues and I want to jump into the real action,boost my guys, make more players etc. But for that I would have to pay to get flex points. I hate that. Have you guys paid and if so did you take the 5$ or did you pay serious money. I was thinking of taking the 25$ so I actually could do some stuff. But it`s the internet, almost everything is free here. Can`t I get points by clicking on ads or something? :)
Another thing: Do you guys play on intensity hard or normal, b/c my endurance is taking a big hit and I have to train on relaxed.

You can get flex points by getting people to sign up with your referral link, up to a max of something like 850. Go to the flex points page to find your referral link (http://goallineblitz.com/game/flex_points.pl) and try to get people to click it and sign up. It's basically spamming people, so try not to annoy anybody and try to do it in an appropriate fashion. People have put their referral links in this thread and we've been amenable to it, but ever since we've been moved off the main forum, there's not a lot of traffic here.

Play on hard, always. Just up your stamina and train on relaxed. The difference in XP when training on relaxed compared to normal or intense is nominal, especially compared to the cost in dollars. Once your stamina is in a good place, you'll be able to train harder if you choose to spend the money.

I currently have a Level 12 SS that is looking for a new team. I got the go ahead from the owner to seek a trade. I'm currently on a very good team but I just don't see the field very often. I'm looking for a new team that my player can start for and grow with.

OUCH!

3-12 loss! 8 sacks on Brady! -19 rushing yards? Ugh, what happened? That was UGLY!
 
I was like ok... Steamer had over 100 yards receiving so how do we score only 3 points? And then I see that our QB got sacked 8 times and threw 6 interceptions!!! :eek: We had a total ground game of -32 yards with a -1.7 ypc. LOL. Talk about our OL getting whipped and our QB bent over. I just don't know what else I can imagine having happened.

Courtney Arrington completely KILLED us. He had 12 tackles, 6 sacks and 2 hurries and 2 TFLs just by himself...

Oh good news. Up next we have the 0-7 Hollywood Decepticons. So we should be able to bounce back with a big win.
Their pass defense is the lowest rate part of their D. They have a level 14 #1CB and a level 11 #2Cb to try to matchup vs Welker and Steamer. Let's AIR it DEEP coach, I want a blowout!!
PS The Emerald City Flying Monkeys beat em by over 100 points so... ;-)

Aaah nothing like a nice old fashioned 86-0 blowout win to get back on track!! Our offense scored AT WILL on the Decepticons! 6 tds on the ground, 5 tds through the air, and over 800 yards of total offense!! :) :) GOOD TIMES!!
 
What happened to us in the 4th quarter of the last game, 20 unanswered points?!?

I'm also impressed Pio had 10 hurries in the game before this one, even if that team stinks. That's a lot of running for the big guy!

No idea.. I'm guess that our starters on D got gassed.

BTW OC, mind sending Steamer deep a few times in our next game? With a speed of 70 I don't think there are many #2 CBs in the league that can keep up with him. Might be able to get some big chunks of yardage that way.
