Belichick Finally Loses it After Reporter's Question

Ian Logue

We're not even three days in and Bill Belichick is slowly reaching his breaking point with questions about his quarterback situation.

So who was the reporter??

lol why does the media think Belichick is going to respect them when they clearly don't respect him?

Maybe it's time for that "We're on to Cincinnati" form of response to the Aladdin questions.

If I were Bill I wouldn't give a straight answer to anything. I wouldn't even pretend.

Reporter could ask something harmless and my answer would be something like this.

I called him a turd turtle...little punk

16 years in and they STILL ask questions that warrant those responses. What's the definition of insanity again?
It was the top NFL news story of the day and we are talking about a reporter none of us have ever heard of with the links to his article probably giving him more hits than he ever had in his life, so mission accomplished.

It's a stupid article. How is Brady's measure of job security "unprecedented" in Belichick's tenure? Barring injury, he has literally been the only QB to see meaningful snaps in a Patriots game since September 2001. If that ain't job security, I don't know what is.

The only thing "unprecedented" about Belichick declaring his week 5 starting QB in July is the fact that nobody has ever asked him that question before.

Plus I'm starting to get pissed off at the assumption that many people - including some in here - have that Garoppolo is just going to completely light the NFL on fire. The media loves setting up ridiculously unfair expectations for players so they can gloat about how the player "choked" when he fails to live up to the ridiculous standard they themselves set.

Brady has a pass batted down and reacts like a six-year-old whose Mom tells him it's time to go home from the park. Belichick treats the press like they've got **** on their boots ... Football is back and it's business as usual.

I can say with utter certainty, XLIX...Garropolo is a far better QB than Tim Tebow...
Ha ha. True dat.

Quite honestly, I'm expecting a Cassel-like performance (the 2008 version of Cassel, that is). And I have no problem with that because that's probably a 3-1 record.

Thanks. I never even heard of the guy before and this may be more of "let's generate a controversy/story where none exists (QB battle) and won't" rather than a guy trying to make a name for himself. Instead he stepped into it big time and became infamous rather than famous. Notice how none of his colleagues outed him as the culprit and only when he did it himself could we figure out who it was. I was guessing Tomase or Borges based on their histories........

Good to see Belichick is already in midseason form with the media.

Whomever this Dave Brown is, he just loves making asinine assumptions.

Really? Belichick doesn't see Garoppolo challenging Brady? " it is clear that Belichick does not view him as capable of generating a quarterback controversy." That's what you got from Belichick's comment? And you wonder why Belichick answered you with disgust and disdain?

Maybe Belichick doesn't want the asshat media creating a QB controversy two days into Training Camp never mind before Garoppolo has taken the field for his first career start.

Or, maybe, Belichick realizes that there is a huge difference between a player being suspended for 4 games and and a player being out for 9 games with a life-threatening injury. Brady will still be able to work out and I'm sure that he'll get throwing in and that he'll have his playbook. with him to study. So it's not like he'll be out of shape or not up to speed.

IDK

Tebow has a higher winning percent and had won a playoff game too (granted they had the same amount of completed passes)

Just saying....

:)
