Touche! I'll have to view BSPN thru that site that someone posted once that limits the amount of click/view advertising. Too bad I can't remember what the link to that site was!

Thanks for posting the list! Only F1 and Nascar drivers and all outside the top 50. Typical BSPN list. A true worldwide leader in sports top 100 famous athletes list would have Lewis Hamilton much higher up on that list.

Boy….did Mercedes screw up extending the #59 ranked athlete, Hamilton of F1, to a 3 year / $155 million extension last year. They should ave consulted ESPN because they are so good at contracts (and in-office sexual assaults). Who knew OBJ had more WORLD presence than the face of F1.

Brady is so 2014

This is the most absurd list imaginable. If Brady is not in the first 12 players worldwide, I eat my shirt. And the whole damn list is ****-eyed. Total crap.

The ironic thing is the deflategate nonsense makes this list even more ridiculously absurd. Tom Brady has literally been in the news more than any athlete in the country over the past 18 months, and probably more than all but a small handful of athletes in the world.

But he's less famous than Damian Lillard....

This list is absurd. Drew Brees ahead of Brady in popularity!?

How is Kevin Durant even in the top 10? 28 spots ahead of Curry!?

Ryan Sheckler, a washed up skateboarder, most popular as a child 10 years ago, above Rob Gronkowski.

I don't even know the names of 10 people in the top 30. I've heard 2 or 3 their names come up like once before, but couldn't tell you what team, let alone the league they play in - just the sport.
It's obviously a crud list. Im ****ing drunk and entertaining this ********. Anyone who is semi-aware of life knows who TB12 is, whether they think he is a cheater or not. At this point IDFAF. But it is seriously laughable to suggest he isn't among the most notable American sports figures. The only people I'd even consider among him are Lebron and Tiger Woods. Everything else is a far fetched joke. Even my Brady-hating friends would say that.

Brady should definitely be higher in relation to other NFL players. However, since it's a worldwide list, I can see soccer players, NBA players, boxers, and even Conor McGregor and Ronda Rousey being ahead of him. These sports have a bigger international following.

52nd in the world is pretty good considering few people outside the US watch NFL

Do you think.. NBA rarely makes the news here in the UK and is on very rarely as a live medium. NFL is much more watched and is scheduled on the number 1 sports channel during the whole Sunday night on its premium channel between 6pm and 5am... even Thursdays and MNF are screened live too.

Another thing that makes this list stupid regarding TB12 is that a lot of people that read fashion, gossip mags and follow this ****e (non sports fans) would know him as Mr Gisele Bundchen the NFL QB, a demographic very few of those on the list touch. Like Aaron Rodgers being with Olivia Munn reaches a different audience.

NBA definitely has a bigger following internationally. The NFL has become more popular recently in places like UK and Germany though.

i understand dudes like messi or ronaldo getting ranked ahead of brady because futbol is much more global. kobe, bron? sure. why not. basketball is more global too.

but obj? cam? brees? ESPN is flat out trolling. they do this just to p!ss us off.

So, ESPN wins again. Suckers.

The way I see it is one member got the ESPN list with adblock on - no penny from us.

The thread keeps www.patsfans.com active.

They lose.

In the UK maybe, but the NBA is huge in China.

Also this isn't a great indicator of Brady's popularity.

They use social media following and endorsements ad the criteria. Important to remember that although Brady as a Facebook page, he's off of twitter, Instagram and snap chat. Also besides Under Armour and Uggs, Brady's been very selective on endorsements.

The bored, idle press continue to try to generate interest, ESPN needs to do something as they are hemorrhaging viewers..

More stupid **** that makes me wonder why???
