Would anyone kick the tires on RB Arian Foster?

Would be a fine back up option to Forte.

Lets see who grabs him

I think he would love to play for a winner he ain't getting any younger I hope we are on the phone the minute he's relased.

Foster to Denver seems more likely given his past w Kubiak

I'm just not that into him

Well... not that he's been cut... my answer is still no. Forte, please.

It's not hard to question his durability lately but when healthy Foster is as good as it gets. He has caught over 50 Balls twice already would love to see a RB like him with the GOAT. Remember the Texans built their Offense around him because their QB's wasn't worth a dam.

The Texans built their offense around him because Kubiak builds around RBs.

I'd still put Forte at the top of any wish list. I think they could do worse than Foster, but I also think they could do better. To answer the thread title, kick the tires of course, but I wouldn't look at his acquisition as anything to be depended on. Plus the aforementioned more likely landing spot of Denver for him, esp in a post Peyton landscape where they run Kubiaks system exclusively.

Im all aboard the Foster train

He's better than what we've got. I just worry that he'll get another season-ending injury by the third week of the season.

You just can't plan on him though. If you get him you need another RB ( they already have 4 as it is) but every 2 games we always say.."there goes the hammy"

This thread still has life?

If you plan on drafting an athletic triple threat RB (run, catch, block) in the first 2-3 rounds why not bring in Foster for short money?

Id sign him to an incentive deal, where he can make dece money if he stays healthy but if he gets injured it protects us.

23 missed games in last three seasons.

chuck him on the scrap heap.

Nope, achilles and patellar tendon are the two leg injuries that I wouldn't bet on anyone making it back from. Especially an injury-prone RB with a big chunk of mileage on him. I wouldn't offer him more than the vet minimum deal with incentives as a TC flyer.

If it was just a torn ACL, I'd be really intrigued. And admittedly, his running style is probably more able to weather the effect of injuries than other guys, since he doesn't rely all that much on burst (compared to other RBs) to begin with. But you still need to have some, torn achilles seems like basically a RB death sentence to me.
