Anyone notice something like deja vu?

One cannot be certain. Gronk and several others may have been playing hurt. We shall find out over the next few weeks.
Still should have won.

I don't think we're winning a SB with a 2010-2013 type of cast around him though.

I think those teams were very capable of winning a SB

I'm drunk. **** Denver. Yeah that's all I got.

I don't wanna be negative, but being a sports fanatic, I know that sports is very cyclical. The Pats went to 10 AFCCGs in 14 years, this may have been the last chance for Brady/Belichick. Brady will be 39 and BB is 65+, this can't last forever. The Stars were aligned, they played a great game last week, this week they played their worst. I really wanted this one with the whole Deflategate ********. Some weird ass calls by BB the last half season too. Just very tough to think positive at this moment. Blew possibly their last chance during this wonderous run.

Kinda reminds me of the 49ers of the 80s up to the mid 90s. Sooner or later the run ends. Happens to every winning franchise. Takes a lot to line up right to win it all, who's to say 2016 will be that stay healthy season. Lots of changes need to happen on offense, especially the O-Line. Need to spend FA money on some of the best O-lineman available and/or spend that 2nd round pick on an o-lineman. If that oline gets better it helps the run game too.

Wouldn't mind a guy like Alshon Jeffrey, a proven big and big play receiver. Just need a lot of changes, this offense used to be unstoppable. But when Brady gets hit 23 times in a game, the offense will suffer.

The common denominator of 13 and 15 is we played at Denver. Even if we are healthy like 14, we would not win at Denver. Hope Bill learned his lesson. Get the #1 seed at all cost.

They were. A couple healthy Gronk games away in some cases. And the '15/'16/'17 teams are almost certain to have better defenses

it goes further

Broncos go onto SB in 2014 and lose to the hot team Seahawks

Patriots go onto SB in 2015 and beat the hot team Seahawks

Broncos go onto SB in 2016 and lose to the hot team Panthers!!!

Patriots go onto SB in 2017 and beat the hot team Panthers???

Losing in denver is definitely deja vu.

Getting near there, yes.

But they were not good enough to win the big games at the end. (Though 2011 came very close.)

Our defense is elite. It will be far better than 2010-2013.
But will it be when we start to have more impending FA's on that side of the ball?

If they can then I can definitely envision a year like Manning is having at the end of Brady's career. (Although maybe not as bad stat wise) Where our defense leads us to the big game.

You really think after the performance Brady put on his season and considering the circumstances and being 3 points away from going back to super bowl that he is just gonna magically fall off towards the end of the year lol this run and train is gonna keep pumping for years to come and the only thing i hope is similar to the 49ers is Jimmy G winning us a championship post brady

Yup till this happened

And our defense didn't have the talent to stop Eli in the end.

So really, it lacked the clutch receiver on offense, and the entire secondary on defense. Both are what lost us the game.

Were we ravaged by injuries this year? Yes.

But we were also "lucky" for the second year in a row that we actually had a healthy Gronk, Edelman and Amendola all for the AFCCG. All three of these guys have been injury prone and just having all three of them will never be a given.

I mean, the majority of our best players were on the field today. At the end, the horrid coaching decisions in December and making this game be played in Denver is what I will accredit to the failure.

Will be very interesting to see. If I were Brady I'd be like "Listen I take a huge (HUGE) pay cut to play here each year. You get me some good offensive linemen to help out. Or I'm going to Jacksonville."

Jesus ****ing christ.

We were banged up? This is the excuse everyone is bow conjuring up?

How about we ****ing blame canon for being absolute ****.

Or edleman for disappearing.

This is why people he us.

Brady could land 3 td on the broncos and that's why we lost. He was awful early. Our offensI've line was embarrassing and our defense kept us from getting our ****ing assess handed to us like it did two years ago.

We lost and it wasn't even close. We deserved it and I blame the coaching

Yeah, I really don't blame injuries this year.

2013? Absolutely. No Gronk, no shot .

This year is all about the December collapse. We weren't 100% by any means but we had all the firepower on both sides of the ball to get things done. Alas, when you allow the game to be played in Dever, wacky ****, tips of the ball, FGs, etc. always seem to go the other way.
