Last week they ruled Gronk out quickly for Philly game. I have a feeling we may not hear he is ruled out for Houston as early.

Appearing on NFL Live Monday, ESPN's Adam Schefter called Rob Gronkowski (knee) "unlikely" to return in Week 14 against the Texans.

Schefter said Gronk seems unlikely to play "based on the conversations I've had" with people who have knowledge of Gronkowski's health. Scott Chandler is headed for another start after he logged 69 percent of New England's Week 13 snaps and drew seven targets, catching four for 61 yards and a touchdown.

So schefter has Gord on speed dial:rolleyes:

gronk will play when his daddy says so.

hope he enjoys watching the offense struggle. brady hit 13 times because the wr's couldn't get open.
tom should use gronk's logic and sit out until everyone is 100%. i would support brady if he actually did this. 38 year old qb's can't take that kind of punishment on a weekly basis.

While I'm not happy with gronks decision to miss time, a bone bruise is painful as hell. I remember when I was younger I rolled my ankle playing basketball and thought for sure I broke it because of the pain and swelling. Turns out it was a bruise and it lasted for a good 2-3 months and each was filled with pain.

That is a load of crap gronk is a baller and if he is out then it must be for good reason.

It seems like every damn Gronk thread will deteriorate into this idiotic fighting over the "100%" comment.

This is the Amendola syndrome all over again (sorry Brady6 dont mean to piss you off).

Can we please just talk about anything than that useless speculation of who is running the Gronk show?

If is an indeed a bone bruise injury, I don't blame him for taking his time. The injury involves actual fracturing of the inner layer of the bone. Of course we don't know the actual diagnosis or the severity of the injury but some useful info.

I tried to tell this to Rob yesterday in his thread multiple times. But it seems like people read "bruised knee" and think Gronk has simply a common bruise and simply needs pain meds.

The reality is that he has a serious injury that could easily lead to ligament damage or fully broken bones if put under the pressure of NFL TE plays too early.

One of the most painfully wrong posts I have ever read on this site. Wow. Just wow!

Maybe he is under a lot of pain , maybe his gronk inc is being overcautious. Who knows. All I know is they didnt need to make a big spectacle of the injury with press releases and then a video after. Keep it shut like they did with collins and no one would gronkwatch have this every day. this will only get worse after wednesday's practice report.

Couldn't imagine being a 270lb TE trying to run on a bone bruised knee while taking hits. Just walking for me was hell on my ankle. Don't blame him one bit.

We won't see Gronk till the playoffs. Book it.

I'm having a sinking feeling he is done this year.. Just based on all the other recent sinking feelings though.

Ground won't be 100% until well into the offseason.

Sadly I agree and you can forget about the bye week. I don't know enough about his injury to say when he should come back. We do all remember when he was cleared to play after the 2nd arm issue and he continued to sit at the wishes of his family. Which is mainly because he was brought back too soon the first time. So you can't blame him for being more cautious. The video however does come off a little diva-ish and I also get why fans are concerned. Let's see what happens after Huston before we draw any conclusions.
