I mean, come one! How can you do something so stupid? How freaking hard is it to get to the airplane when you have a football game to play? It's not the first time this year he misses football either, he oversleped for practise earlier this year. He does not seem like a team first kind of guy.

Yeah yeah, he's not on the Pats anymore. But he was for a couple of years, and O'Brien is coach there, so it's not completely off Patriots topic to post here

As a coach I'd cut him immediately to make a statement. That's one of the most unprofessional things I've ever heard

Hoping so for the guy. It does not look good so far though. O'Brien has made a big mess of the QB position. His choice of moment to bench the QBs has been grossly disastrous.

In TC he missed a team meeting that cost him the opportunity to be the Opening Day starter.

Missing team flight......almost never happens.

With Mallett seemingly having an issue with promptness, gotta wonder where his head is at.

I get the impression, from the outside looking in, that this kid is a complete knuckle head.

He seems REALLY immature to me. When he took himself out of that game, that was a huge red flag. His body language after that just seemed like a toddler not getting his way. I get the feeling this kid had a lot of people blowing smoke up his butt growing up.

Like what? As far as the NFL is concerned, missing a gameday flight is only excusable if you're dead, or your entire family is dead, or Armageddon is underway.

The fact that he then quickly hopped a commercial flight suggests nothing of the sort has happened. The guy is in a hurry to bring his NFL career to a close.

I dont think of his as being dumb but his demeanor definetly seems very juvenile. Getting visibly angry when Hoyer played well, "oversleeping" when they named Hoyer the starter and now this; its more a wonder of why the texans have kept him on the roster

Not completely his fault. He went to see a movie with Geno Smith and they didnt anticipate so many previews and commercials.

Quarterbacks that have played in this system are desirable.. there is not a lot of NFL QB talent out there, but he may have worn out his welcome this time..
