We are 5-0 and won the Super Bowl last season. Happy yet? :)

The way this team has reacted to some of these wins i am dreading how they will react to a loss. Like if the Jets actually beat the Pats (which they are good enough to do if things go their way) seeing how this board has reacted to some of our less impressive wins I worry about how some fans here would react to that.

Those people take this stuff much too seriously.

I don't know if the question for me is if I'm happy yet. I haven't stopped being happy since The Butler Did It. And the way this season is going is a Pats fan's dream.

Just thought I'd say I'm pretty damned happy with this team, grateful for our amazing coaching and QB and other players. How freaking spoiled are we that we just won the Super Bowl, we consistently pick in the bottom of the draft, but we still manage to be 5-0 so far this season?

In the off season, I lost interest in the NFL in general. I no longer pay much attention to non Patriot games, I don't listen to the pundits. I don't get very excited about many other teams any more, I just am so jaded and fed up with this disgusting league and what it did to the Patriots in the offseason. (Exception: I like the Packers, and am rooting for Chip Kelly to succeed because he was a coach at UNH).

But the Patriots keep on doing their thing, and it is freaking amazing.

Their focus and discipline is incredible not just for its magnitude but its consistency: I have probably lost more time at work over the last 6 months thinking about deflategate than Belichick has!

Here's some Pats fans that I ran across...

Some Indy, Seattle and Ravens fans came along too...

Its all playing out as scripted. Brady showing all mediots/haters/doubters with his play on field not through media. Actions speak LOUDER than words and this is what TB does. He goes about his business in a professional manner and it's evident in his work ethic right to game day/nite. Plus pissin him off wasn't too clever. I believe he said in a conference call with NY Media today he wants to play many more years, like 10. If he pulls that off and who I am to doubt him, he will have rings for both hands and start on his toes.

Meh.

Kraft and Goodell have stolen any joy I would otherwise have derived from the league.

**** them all.

For most Patriots fans I know, it's no longer about happy. It's about carnage.

Almost one calendar year since the Pats last lost a game that meant something. :)

I am loving the season so far. Tough game ahead. I hope the revenge tour continues going so splendidly.

One of the things I find most interesting is most fanbases are happy if their team wins on Sunday. Patriots fans are used to 12 plus wins almost yearly. That means the Pats are winning 3 out of every 4 weeks almost every season. To me, that's the most remarkable fact of them all.

Nope not happy because Gregg Doyel says if I am all is not right with the world and I don't want that responsibility on my shoulders. :D

No.

Not yet. It's just a third of the way through the season. We need to win the rest of our games, including the last one of the season. Then I'll be happy. For awhile.

Until next season's kickoff.

Well if we go 6-0 and put up a 50 spot on the Jets I ll be sort of content.

I've been happy about this team since the Patriots won their first Superbowl. I'm please as punch that they continue to be successful.

Keeping in mind that some teams haven't ever made the Superbowl, I'm grateful for what we have.

Jealously is an ugly emotion and envy is one of the 7 deadly sins for a good reason. I'd be much happier if we had a commissioner who was wise enough not to pander to envy.

I'll be happy when I watch a squirming Goodell hand the trophy to Brady in February. If he even shows his mug.

The 2007 SI cover was perfect:

Well! I see I have a new image for the family Christmas card this year.

A year ago we were 3-2 and had lost the AFC title game to the Donco's, therefore, heck ya I'm happy!
