All those uninterested people who couldn't care to read the Wells Report or the appeals process who just wanted to indict Brady. Well, they now say "Oh, we're just sick of the story - - at least make it go away now".

The NFL and ESPN say no!!!! Time to not only keep that story alive, but we will now EXHUME SPYGATE!!!!!!

I was hoping Spygate was over. Apparently that isn't either.

At this point the best I can hope for is that the next time a "controversy" breaks it isn't suffixed with "gate."

Feed the hate. Do they not remember how scorched the earth was in 2007? Feed it more plz....As if Brady doesn't already have enough motivation....

Apparently hating excellence instead of celebrating it is a ratings bonanza.
In the age of "participation trophies" (see: Colts laughable "finalist" banner), most like to tear down a dominant team.

Basically ripped every super bowl win this morning. Of course nothing to say about 2007 and 2011. They must of lost those legitimately?

But I also think that Tomase's BS about the walkthrough could have impacted our Super Bowl performance.
Our staff and players are not machines, and while you can try your best to ignore the lies, they can have a negative impact

I don't know how they can exhume Spygate. Kraft has spent the last 8 years vociferously defending the reputation of his team and head coach to the other owners. The league's media minions don't stand a chance against his incessant onslaught explaining the facts vs the unfounded rumors & accusations.

I have long resisted the notion of a anti-Patriots conspiracy, but right now, someone is clearly orchestrating an effort to smear the franchise.

How is it possible that TWO major sports outlets have simultaneously released lengthy pieces alleging widespread suspicions of cheating?

The NFL is not even trying to be subtle anymore. And the worst thing is.... none of us can do anything about it.

Of course we can, if the whole NE region just stopped watching, and stopped buying..... Good luck with that though.

Without a doubt

The script was supposed to be "Patriots: Feel good story of 2001 slinks off into mediocrity," kinda like the 2002 Buccaneers.

Belichick and Brady rewrote that script starting in 2003, and the rest of the league has been pissed off about it.

Seriously. Think about this: some teams consider making the playoffs an accomplishment. For the Patriots, not making the AFC Championship is a down year.

You'd think the media organizations being left out of it would complain the NFL* isn't sharing the smear revenue with them. But, I imagine if they did, they'd get less overall so they will remain quiet and follow along like good lap dogs.

pats need to release emails or any crap they are holding back which I hope they are .

Controversy/scandal sells news.

Patriots are the biggest game in town.

This is just a great opportunity for media to get clicks and views.

The Pats fans who hate these type of news but go to their channels or go to their websites are partly the reason why they publish/report this stuff.

Usually I laugh at the people who hate on the Pats, but this double whammy via the press today has my blood boiling. The league isn't even being subtle about it anymore.

Kraft needs to grow a set and take the gloves off, if this how they want to play.

I think it is just media snake oil salesmen appealing to the lowest common denominator, and all the Patriots haters are about as low of a common denominator we have out there.

Hating on New England draws clicks, sells magazines, garners ratings. It's the price you pay for greatness.
