Just confirmed on NFLNetwork. Goodell will NOT be at the season opener.

I wanted to see the look on Goodells face as Brady ran out of the tunnel and the SuperBowl Championship banner was unraveled. I guess Goodell knew the cameras would be zoomed right in on his ugly mug, sweating and looking uncomfortable as the Patriots celebrated.

How pathetic is it that the leagues own commissioner can't be at a season opener because of this debacle. This is unheard of but not surprising. If I were Goodell I'd never show face in the New England area ever again.

I hope the Patriots run out of the tunnel to this song

CANT WAIT

Pathetic is right

You know those picture on a stick, like in that ESPN show. (I forget the show's name, Kornheiser and Wilbon being their jerk selves.) How much you wanna bet there will be some of those. :)

how many of the Pittsburg Steelers are going to want to be at that game. Even the 85 Bears would feel intimidated with what I expect to be a seriously & enthusiastically loud stadium.

If that jackoff was stupid enough to attend, that would have been some real Must-See TV right there.

I guarantee you the only reason they are doing the pregame concert in San Fran was to have Goodell part of the pregame without being in Foxboro.
If this is the case then NOBODY in the New England area should watch the concert. Everybody keep your TVs off until kickoff!! Edit - until the banner's raised! Go Patriots!

If this isn't enough of a reason, compiled with numerous others to fire his ass then I fear that he isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Seriously, the commissioner cannot attend the opening game of the season for one of his league's premier franchises because he can't take the heat that he has brought on.....what a phucking boob.

Too bad. I was looking forward to the crowd taunting his lying ass all game long.

They still will and he'll be sure to see it. If I can't make it to get some FRAUD-GER chants going, I'm sure someone will.

Knowing that the Commish is so butthurt that he won't be showing may make it the best banner raising of them all.

At some point the Pats will have to make the stadium bigger to allow for more room to hang championship banners. We're not there yet though. Are we?

his father was a coward as a US Senator. it runs in the family.
