The passage of time has made people forget that they were considered by many to be the worst team in the entire NFL before their starting QB went down. I remember Joel Buchsbaum's rankings of team talent in the offseason. Dead last at #31 was the Patriots. It's the greatest Cinderella story in the history of American professional sports, but because of the future dynasty and the HOF QB, nobody will remember it that way. Before the game, I only wanted 2 things: no terrorist attack (post-9/11 hysteria), and a competitive game. Nobody envisioned what was about to happen that day forward.The one sporting event that I'll be telling my grandchildren about was going to Tom Brady's first career NFL start. People were giving their tickets away after Bledsoe went down, it was aupposed to be a lost season.
Then this nobody named Tom Brady opened up a can of woopass on The Colts and a legend was born
