This is just my take on how I would make each pick if I could redo the Patriots draft. We have had some time pass and things have cooled down. It is too see how many picks I actually keep the same.
Obviously you can only go by the players available at each spot (meaning you can only pick form the players that were still on the board at or below that pick) and by the picks the Patriots actually had.
#32 - Malcolm Brown - DT* - Looking at the players available here I think this was the right pick to make for need and value. I am still not the biggest Malcolm Brown fan and don't think he was the steal others do but I believe he has first round ability and was probably overall the best player on the Board at this spot.
#64 - Odighizuwa, Owamagbe - DE - This I think was the player to go for at this spot. I am happy with the WRs we have and none of the CBs overly impressed me that were left.
#97 - TJ Clemmings - OL - I don't know why he dropped so much but I thought this would be good value for this pick.
#101 - Trey Flowers - DE* - This is another pick I keep just as is. Great value and I really like the player.
#111 - Tre Jackson - OG* - Even with Clemmings Tre Jackson is just too good to pass up here and I need to keep this pick the same.
#132 - DeAndre Smelter - WR - This pick might have been the same if I did not pick Clemmings... but I did. Smelter just has too much value here and upside and no DB that I really like.
#166 - Max Valles - OLB - I think more than a LS you want to take a chance on a talented LB.
#178 - Michael Bennett - DT - This is just a luxury pick but IDK why he fell so low. Scoop him up and see what happens.
#202 - Ifo Ekpre-Olomu - CB - A binky of mine before the draft and though he probably goes on IR I see him as a future "honey badger".
#247 -Darryl Roberts - CB* - This last pick I keep the same. Everything I read makes me love this kid and he has shown some stuff on the field already.
#253 - Jean Sifrin - TE - No good reason for this one... Home town kid makes good I guess and we could use depth. Surprised he went undrafted.
