Official Brady Appeal Thread: D-Day Tuesday June 23rd

The Saints players won their case in court and the league still didn't budget despite a scathing rebuke from Tagliabue.

Fair enough.

But I was talking about a hypothetical situation in which the league tries to settle with Brady, so as to avoid yet another ass-whooping in court.

ESPN this morning, with Mike & Mike & guest Schefter, was SO AGGRAVATING.

They were all saying "why did we ever get to the point?" and you'd think that they would see two of the big reasons:

The lie to Mort (11 of 12...)
Not correcting the lie to Mort for over three bleepin' months

But no... they ignored that. To take any blame would be ESPN on ESPN crime. Some fans might then have the gall to demand a retraction. just because a story was blatantly untrue!

The media almost never accepts any blame.

  1. Stir things up
  2. Cover reaction
  3. Bemoan public reaction

Kraft owes Brady more than a tweet. He can nevr get back the damage he caused

In hindsight, going back to Spygate, the assault on the Pats by the former-Rat infested NFL* front office assault has been made possible by the weak ineffectual leadership of Bob "Thank you sir may I have another?" Kraft.

Makes for poor ratings...

Go look at the Saints outcome, the courts reversed the player penalties and the league kept the franchise penalties intact.

Gregg Williams admitted to wrong doing. That isn't the case in this instances. The penalties were based on a massively flawed report. A court could say, oh and in regards to your penalties, knock them down or vacate them because you have zero basis to enact them.

If a court rules the process was not impartial and flawed from the start, then I cannot see how they can't look at the team penalties as well, since they were based on the report.

there is no 'oath' here......at least not one that would be binding in a court of law
maybe brady has his hand on the cba while wells has his hand on his report and kessler has his foot on goodells head

Maybe Schefter heard it wrong. Perhaps he was told that upon meeting goodell "Brady swore at the oaf"

Is Goodell wearing a white wig like one of those British judges wear?

So that little weasel Volin claimed Brady "snuck in the back door." He really needs a beating.
Don't worry, he's on Giselle's list.

Volin waiting at the wrong door then snarkily blaming Brady for it is the most Volin thing he's ever done. It's almost interesting, watching an over-his-head idiot get bitter and transform into a troll in real-time.

His new name is "the MCI".

Mentally Challenged Intern

Didn't Goodell lie while under oath during the Rice appeal hearing? What were the sanctions?

Courts don't go beyond the scope of what is in front of them, so even if they reverse the Brady suspension they won't get into the team penalties, that would only happen if Kraft went to court and he passed.
