The Published Wells Report.

I officially no longer give a rats azz about this investigation or the people who will eternally condemn Tom Brady and the organization. While it has been disappointing I cant allow myself to care anymore.

So long as Tom isn't handed down a big punishment such as a suspension I can live with it. **** it, just go out and win. Haters and pundits be damned.

Denial works for a while.

I care because I dont live in NE. Brady knew and Belichick knew.

Who/what is a Rand Getlin? And why should we note what he tweets?

He was breaking more FA deals than Schefter this year. Put him somewhat onto the "NFL Insider" map.

"more probable than not" = We have no evidence that there was wrong doing and can't look like idiots for taking 3 Months to come to this conclusion. The NFLPA will have a field day if they try to fine or suspend Brady. The league knows this and is why they used the words "more probable than not". They would have used the word "guilty" if they had anything on Brady.

I've given my general thoughts a few pages back but, speaking personally as a Pats fan, the information in the report makes me suspicious. I don't know how anyone can read it and not at least suspect Brady may have known. It all comes down to whether you think the private text messages have any credibility or are two people mucking about. The report, as far as I'm aware, doesn't have any defence from McNally on the content of the text messages.

I wonder why Brady claimed he didn't even know McNally's name when that is obviously false. I wonder why he didn't provide his text messages on this subject (which he is entitled to do obviously) if he had nothing to hide.

Now all this still means there is no evidence but I still read the report suspecting Brady's involvement. Wells has a duty to not jump to conclusions that aren't there though.

So having just read the report.....
They've got no hard evidence whatsoever. None.
It's obvious now it was not Kraft who asked for this report, it is completely bias in favour of trying to prosecute the Pats. Ted Wells was actively looking for any evidence possible to convict the Pats. And this is all he managed? Moving on you found nothing.

There are far to many variables that are not included here. There is nothing in this report about the effect of the actual game. What is the effect on the balls of a 240lb back running it with a 6th OL in a power run game? How many balls did each team use in the game out of the 12? I will be interested in pre-season games where I bet evidence exonerating the Patriots will come out from actual in game testing with a proper recorded pre game test. I also bet there will be a wide-variety of pressure drop from different styles of offence. If they punish the Pats they could well end up with egg on their faces.

P.s As a fan from England, I do not appreciate witchhunts and obvious bias from the NFL office. Goodell may not care about offending Pats fans, but I'm sure he absolutely does care about alienating European and overseas fans. I seriously suggest that it's about time that all the overseas fans on this board get together and bombard the NFL offices with our displeasure at the biased nature of this report, demand complete exoneration of the Pats due to lack of evidence. And threaten to boycott London games and NFL gamepass if punishments are given out.

If Brady gets fined even a cent he should appeal.

One fact no one seems to be discussing is why were only 4 Colts footballs measured??? I just don't get it, they decided to measure the Colts balls for a frame of reference, but only measured some of them...as with many things this does not make sense. Was there something with the other 8 footballs the report did not to explain...food for thought.

It's the Colts. Those 4 footballs are the only balls they have.

3. One ref at halftime measured only 4 colts balls and found them to be deflated below 12.5 PSI. Why aren't they called "deflated balls"? They had more air than the Patriots balls but they were inflated higher than the Patriots balls anyway.

And this fact will be completely ignored. Where is the investigation into the Colts. Patriots got investigated on hearsay over one ball. Colts balls being under is not hearsay and in fact has been known about by the league for 3 months.

So this entire report is a complete joke correct? It seems like Wells is just making a bunch of guesses without any viable evidence. Can someone confirm this?

Exactly, we live in America not Iran. He probably knew is not an argument. Wells looks like an idiot and Goodell is a moron

I could see this coming a mile away. To all those who thought the Wells report was going to be an objective analysis of evidence by a true neutral- welcome to the real world.

As expected, it's a result-orientated work of art by an advocate of Goodell and the NFL office with specious conclusions based on cherry picked data taken out of context and conjecture.

Moral of the story- The guy you give money to write an "objective" report, probably has the same funny idea of what "objective" means as the guy paying him.

Denial works for a while.

I care because I dont live in NE. Brady knew and Belichick knew.
Belichick didn't know. The report says so, dingbat.

The NFL looks stupid with their botching of this story, bountygate and Ray Rice. Wake up and fire Goodell

Example of the problem with looking at text messages without context:

Person A: Make sure dinner is on the table when I get home tonight.
Person B: GFY.
Person A: If it's not on the table when I walk through the door, I'll kick your ass.
Person B: You're going to be home at X o'clock, right? Dinner will be ready then.

We all know, or at least every single literate one of us knows, that the above exchange could be deadly serious, and could be two people screwing around.

Exactly this... my friends and I say awful things to each other in texts. My fiance and I often will say extreme texts to each other in jest all the time, but if Wells got our phones and put a report out publicly of those private conversations the media and general public would have a ****ing heart attack and demand people be thrown in jail or something.

This Wells report is a ****ing joke and shows what a sorry state the NFL is in. . But it also shows what a sorry state we as a society are in as well because we all eat this **** up and very loudly and vocally state our opinions on the matter via social media

Obviously Brady wasn't going to turn his freaking phone over to that old, creeper of a man Wells for him to systematically go through and log everything in it.. Brady is a very high profile man that has a lot of high profile friends and has lots of PRIVATE conversations with people via those texts..

I bet Wells would have liked to light a candle one lonely night and scroll through his texts with Giselle, maybe go through his picture gallery for some spank bank material..

****ing creeper.. he demanded something that was obnoxious, as if this was a murder investigation or something and since he didn't get exactly what he wanted, he painted Brady out to be this nefarious, uncooperative monster

and seriously 243 pages on footballs. What a waste of money

Brady is obviously going to be suspended, and I doubt that it's only for a game or two.

The backlash would be tremendous. The public is going to want a significant punishment.

So much for "Sharks of Vegas" being right about everything, and the idea of everyone else being punished.

The refs didn't have enough time to do them all because halftime was ending.
But McNally and his infamous 1 min 30 sec wiz had enough time to deflate 12 footballs! So the refs didn't have enough time, but could ask for an extra min...why does that seem bogus to me???!!!

Sheesh, I am actually happy that i don't live in the US right about now. I only have limited access to the american midia and I am already nauseous about the parciality in which this is being handled AND the public outcry.

Good luck to you all fellas, you'll need it

This McNally dude doesn't sound like a Patriots fan, if that's the case how the F a fan of other franchise gets this not that important but at the same time critical job? Brady should not be pissed that the balls sucked in a game to begin with.

Ok people might say "oh what's the problem? What matters is if he can do his job". Until **** like this to happen.

Next time hire employees like this , I mean exactly like this

By the way type Gandula Botafogo on google images to understand why they should hire people exactly like this

Here's how Im feeling.

1. This report came out in a way that is very damning on the Patriots.
2. The NFL in the past has said "ignorance is not an excuse"
3. There is wording in the report that shows that this could be a bigger deal than letting on
4. Wording of "not cooperating" from Brady and Kraft.

To me, it feels like we are going to get slammed SLAMMED with fines and penalties. Somehow I hope I am wrong but if this is the case I think Ill take my 3 Games to Glory 4 Blu Ray and watch that as I might not deal with this crap anymore of how we're always the villains and to be honest I shouldnt have to deal with being called a fan of cheaters either
