You could possibly add Chung to that theory as well, assuming his improvement last year wasn't 100% due to everyone around him. If Williams and Fletcher do happen to succeed in their new spots, I might start to consider Chip Kelly as The Anti-Rex Ryan: So worried about his ground breaking offensive scheme that he doesn't pay attention to his defense.
Can the people who are prepared to have an open mind about this signing please stop talking sense, it ruins the Chicken Little narrative.
Most of us have. There's a couple who don't, no matter how wrong or asinine some their posts may have been. We've all had posts we'd like to take back, I'm sure...
Yup, but not one remotely close to being that idiotic.Marqui is a solid poster. We've all had posts we'd like to take back, I'm sure...
@Pat_Thorman: New #Patriots CB Bradley Fletcher's @PFF coverage grade ranked 101st (of 108) in '14. QBs had a 107.6 QBR when targeting him.
McClain is about right but Fletcher has a base salary of well over vet minimum. Unless my numbers are way off.
$2.5 million huh?
For that kind of money, I'd rather have Dan Connolly back...
So whom will we ask to cover #1 WRs?
I agree with alot of what you said but I hate this argument so much. The coaching staff does know more than all of us but that doesn't mean they never get it wrong. They are not above criticism.
He was definately better, but certainly not perfect. He very well might revert to his poor coverage without Revis and Browner. Not sure Chung is even worth having. Might be better of with another free safety with these potentially bad corners starting.
i dont get why people laughed about PFF grades when they said Brady wasnt elite or he had negative grades against Baltimore (and he played a great game) and now use these source to destroy Bradley Fletcher, come on people, give the man a ****ing chance, dont be a pink hat.
Where did I write cut him already? How about reading the full post before accusing me of what I didnt say."He was definitely better...might revert..." So cut him already? How asinine. What if he doesn't revert? How about seeing what he does before cutting him for what he might do.
On first impression and having watched Eagles games, I am not fond of this signing. That said, I am prepared to give Fletcher and opportunity and leave the pitchfork mentality until it gets closer to the season. Perhaps he improves, perhaps the Patriots continue to work the position.
Waynes, Johnson, Peters and co. must surely be on the Patriots board. I can't believe this will be the CB unit the team carries into the season.
