The Sour Grapes gang, starting with Mark Brunell...

It was obvious after the press conference that the ESPN panel had their minds made up long before #12 took the podium. Especially Brunell. Was just as obvious the assembled media were trying to get Brady to either snap or say something incriminating.

I'm not 100% convinced yet that they're innocent in all of this, but I can't make too many judgments until the NFL finally comes out with something... anything... in the mean time... total witch hunt.

I would say Brady should sue him but the guy doesn't have 2 cents to his name so it's not worth the effort.

Hes downtrodden..no question

************ they didnt even listen to the press conference. Brunell and whats his face are saying "he said he doesn't squeeze them and stuff, but every qb does this." HE SAID HE DOESN"T SQUEEZE AND CHECK THEM DURING A ****ING PLAY. He said he checks them thoroughly before the game, and then trusts them to be the same during the game. Am I taking crazy pills here?!

And these guys treating him like he is unequivocally guilty.

Watching that table with Fat Jerome Bettis and Mark Brunell talk after the press conference was the dumbest thing I've seen this week.

They actually said this wasn't a big deal but NOW it is because Brady is denying it. They actually said all Brady had to do was admit and they and everyone would have moved on but NOW it's a big deal because he must be lying.

Are they being this stupid this on purpose? They have been talking about Deflategate for 72 straight hours, they are literally sitting in front of a massive Deflategate graphic and they can say with a straight face that this wasn't a big deal until Tom Brady lied!?? No evidence that he lied, they just KNOW. OMG!!!

I think I just stumbled upon why this is such a big thing. ESPN and the media love it for the ratings, the people who believe it or people like me who hate it and think it's the dumbest thing ever... we all just watched it. I just wrote four paragraphs about it.... Mind blown.

mark brunell is a ****ing ******, my goodness. just because your pregame ritual is different than brady's means hes lying?

Where were these guys tears and ******** and witch hunts when the Baltimore Ravens FO was trying to cover up Ray Rice almost killing his girlfriend in an elevator?

Really puts this ******** into perspective, doesn't it?

The Patriots have beaten up on everybody the last 15 years. They have a winning record against every team. Why are we surprised that many former players (who are supremely egotistical, competitive people) are taking advantage of the opportunity to bash the patriots and call them cheaters? Their egos literally won't allow them to do anything else.
Bingo, players are no different then fans. There's plenty that have been dying to round the posse up, and git them some revenge. Same for execs, how many of those guys lost their jobs because their brilliance in the front office gets crushed by the Patriots.

On NFL Live just before TB's presser, Wingo asked Brunell, Bettis, and Dawkins what they want Brady to say and they all wanted him to admit to the crime. So you are right that it was obvious, but it was obvious they were participating in a witch hunt BEFORE the presser. Their decisions were already made unless Brady admitted to whatever crime that those idiots are already sure he committed.

Add Brian Westbrook to the list of bitter morons. He said on CSN (AFTER today's press conferences) that the Patriots should be penalized double the cameragate sanctions because Roger Goodell "is all about the shield." What a fool. How do these idiots get compensated for being media tools?
People watch idiots not well researched, level headed analysts. Hell, you would lose the entire reality TV segment if smart people were put on instead of yokels and metrosexual gym junkies.

Exactly...there's nothing Brady could have said, short of admitting he cheated, they would have accepted. I can't believe how this has turned into a 'burn Brady' thing. After BB's presser I was psyched because the surly evil genius coach passed the ball to his clean-cut, smooth-talking, media darling QB and he'd calmly walk them through his protocol, his thoughts on ball pressure and what he thought happened.

Never in my wildest dreams did I think it would turn into a Brady witch hunt. It's almost too insane to believe. The media made a determination: the Patriots cheated. They need their pound of flesh, and BB left Brady as their sacrificial lamb. Then Brady went and messed it all up, didn't admit to cheating so BURN HIM ANYWAY.

F*CK ESPN

Says a whole lot more about them than it does Tom, imho...we're not talking about paragons of virtue who are judging Mr. Brady......

Was it ever stated how far below 12.5 psi that the balls tested out to?
I keep coming back to this elephant in the room: all we have is an uncorroborated report by Chris Mortenson who cites an ANONYMOUS LEAGUE SOURCE that 11 footballs were under-inflated. EVERYONE is assuming this as fact!!!

Then the NFL should:
1. come out an flatly deny this, or
2. Set out to find out who the leakers are and fire them.

Blacklist ESPN, CNN, USA Today, and Huffington Post.

Honestly, don't think. Just do it. Never watch programming from them again, never go their website. Period.

ESPN I shouldn't have to explain at all. The others have been degrading steadily for years. Now they're trashy tabloids at best, full blown propaganda outlets at worst.

When these purported national news networks are giving prime coverage to a story about underinflated footballs, where the verdict and sentence are forgone, where the agenda his so pathetically blatant it would make Joseph Goebells proud, where 50 "journalists" pack a room and do their damndest into shaming a coach and quarterback who aren't even indicted based on an investigation that's still ongoing. THIS is what these outlets are plastering all over their front pages, this is how they're whoring themselves to the demands of the rabid populace. This ladies and gentlemen, is the national media which is responsible for delivering "news" to the population on social, political, economic, and environmental issues. I weep for the future of this nation.

Mike Reiss and Tedy Bruschi post on ESPN. So no -- I'm not blacklisting them at all.

I don't understand why reporters aren't following up on this, or at least withholding judgment/speculation until REAL FACTS come out.

Its simple, boycott ESPN...Call their advertisers and tell them you will not be watching their commercials or using a provider that has ESPN on it. if every Pats fan did this, it might actually hurt them a bit.

Belichick and Brady did well today but I wish someone representing the Patriots would come out and rip the Ravens, Colts and the media a new one.

Cause they get paid to be talking Heads, doesn`t mean they have a Brain in said Head. They`re all acting like little Girsl truth be told.Hard pressed to believe they ever played Football.

Its not their fault New England has handled this poorly. Today was rough. Shoulder shrugs from Bill at 930 and more shoulder shrugs from Tom at 415.

The reason i'd like to know is this. If brady likes them at the bare minimum of 12.5 psi and the balls check out at 11.5 or 12.0 it wouldn't take much for the psi to drop after they've been out in the cold for three plus hours. It seems like all it takes is for a ball to drop .5 psi and its illegal, theres not much room for error going from the minimum to illegal.
