I seriously doubt the nfl will say there was nothing wrong. They are going to hand out some punishment,Iam sure of that. As curran said, there is a witchhunt to bring BB down.
I love Tom Curren, but on this one he's gone atomic on the Pats guilt.

Meanwhile, Green Stool Gobbler World is agog with feces as they "report" the latest "news" from the turd desk...

Why would anyone be surprised by this from that piece of **** publication?

How is saying he thinks the league is on a witch hunt (which it is!) meaning he things NE is guilty?

“Too often competitive violations have gone unpunished because conclusive proof of the violation was lacking,” Goodell wrote. “I believe we should reconsider the standard of proof to be applied in such cases, and make it easier for a competitive violation to be established.”

Wow. Is this a serious quote from Goodell? Maybe the dumbest thing I've ever seen. Yeah, who needs evidence?

Goodell should tread lightly. If he tries to impose any sanction against the Patriots with no proof, the Patriots will respond, and Goodell will not like their response.

Iam guessing he means, the witchhunt means they want to find NE guilty.

Obviously the league will make the final call, but there seems to be an awful lot of back tracking....

It would be tooooo damn sweet to hear the NFL say there was nothing wrong, then hear all these media jokers who jumped the gun condemning the Pats like Mort, Reiss, Macmullan, and the idiot bandwagoner from CNN, all have to swallow their pride and apologize for their yellow journalism.
Exactly what I was thinking. NFL announces investigation found no evidence of wrong doing. Leaves the media dumbfounded holding THEIR deflated balls

I'm guessing the NFL is waiting on Brady's presser till they release anything. Honestly, after all this hoopla, it's a pretty simple explanation really:

- Colts inflated their balls at 13.5 PSI, thus the temperature change dropped it down to 12.5, which is the league approved minimum.
- Patriots inflated their balls at 12.5 PSI, thus the temperature change dropped it down t0 11.5, which is under the league approved minimum.

At halftime, the discrepancy was noticed and correct. Boom done. No harm, no foul, no cheating and no suspension or punishment for the Pats. They can now further elaborate on adjusting the rule in the offseason.

Not to split hairs, but it is really not under the league approved minimum. The league mandated they be at that pressure when they are checked before the game. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that a ball in a Miami game in August, or in GB in January will leave that range. Or that using them could remove them from the range. Even the way it's written means that a .1 PSI difference could remove it from range, and I'm not sure the gauges are even that accurate.

I work in aviation, and when the pressure matters- like in tires there are charts based on temperature. Fill to this pressure at this temperature plus or minus this range. You even have to wait for the air to stabilize since compressed air is hot then recheck it based on ambient temp. So if they cared, they could have made a procedure. The NFL's rules basically said they don't give a ****. If they really wanted the ball to be 12.5- 13.5 DURING the game, they would have made a rule that said the balls must be checked outside in game temp, and made sure they were continuously checked.

Saying you can check them inside a 70 degree room for a 25 degree game is saying you don't care about the pressure of the ball at game time.

I didn't make the witch hunt comment. You'll have to ask the person who did.

Well..they can say they didnt find evidence but as bedard;s article says

Again, if they did nothing wrong, they're not going to be punished. If they did something wrong, they will.

Kraft isn't going to let his team get thrown under the bus if they truly had no fault in the matter. Now if some Ball Boy did this on his own terms, then yes, the punishment will be warranted, although it will be less severe.

The Huffington Post no longer has this farce as it's headliner. Just hours ago it was one of those articles with continuous updates. Now it's only has a couple paragraph story stating that Belichick denies the allegations.

Boy is the media going to feel stupid in a few hours.

ABC hot topics ...fat **** Rosie is saying pats should be disqualified bc pats are bullies and cheat. Media over hype official in quantum overdrive.

I hope pats go out there and put up 60

I'd like to think that, but I don't trust Robert "I love being in the owners' club" Kraft.

Nyc media is so envious of the patriots lol.I love the hate. The fact that it made the headline news is not all surprising. They have the most overrated qb to ever win 2 superbowls at our expense.

We have to win the superbowl

Betcha they won't. Betcha they will say this is all a cover up and the nfl is protecting the Pats.

Crock of ****
