Chandler Jones & Akeem Ayers

Cj overrated lol, Yall don't know pass rushers. You expect 5 sacks every game is laughable. CJ is more productive and better at rushing the passer and setting the edge then ayers. Watch this season. Chandler was a game changer. Ayers had a couple nice plays but not like chandler

Were Jones/Ninkovich protecting the edge because of Flacco's mobility?? One of the reasons he had so much time was that the receivers were all covered...

BB always gives the team something, while taking something else...

Breaking news we won!!! It was a great win, but in the parallel universes of talk radio and internet message boards are inundated with what they could have done better... they won!!! Came back from 14 points down twice...

OK, Darryl, there is nothing to discuss other than they won and there is nothing they need to work on for next week.

Some fans can go from 0 to 100 in the blank of an eye!

getting owned by some rookie is embarrassing. hoping chandler plays better next week.

Your post is what is embarrassing.

He was being held all night.

Even the Ravens Russell Street Homer Blog could see what, evidently you can't:

http://russellstreetreport.com/2015...an-fox/ravens-postseason-run-crashes-foxboro/

"Someone tell James Hurst that the pace of a playoff game is a little more up-tempo than a Friday afternoon walk through. He’s awful and fortunately the officials let these guys play a bit. Apparently Hurst thought Chandler Jones needed a few hugs and ref Bill Vinovich allowed it…"

SO congratulations on not seeing something so obvious a Ravens homer had to print.

You watched to much supercross last night. CJ is our best pass rusher.

I promise I didn't watch SX last night but watching it now lol. I'm not trying to be an ass but I had a house full of pats fans and everyone thought the same thing, they thought he might be hurt. He might be our best pass rusher but lately he doesn't look great. One play in particular, last play of the game the Hail Mary, Jones gets his hands on Flacco and completely whiffs and Flacco still throws that ball to the end zone. Look he is one of my favorite players but so far in the games he has been back for I'm not overly impressed. I'm sure they will play better next week, well the better.

You miss my point amongst this sea of negativity, sometimes the obvious is lost..could somethings be better, of course, but I like to savor this win...before Monday comes and all the idjuts dial up for their two minutes of fame with the mediots of talk on the radio..

This was a good, gritty, come from behind win.. we adapted and won a tough game... enjoy it...

Part of the problem was our line calls up front were really vanilla because of the run. We weren't able to do any stunts or looping inside in this game.

Once again, when the Ravens Homer Blogger points out that their OL was "hugging" Chandler Jones all night and they were "fortunate" that Vinovich let them get away with it, it is time to reconsider.

Be more worried about how Ninkovich couldn't set the edge against the run last night.

Hell, Arrington was a better run defender.

I agree a little bit but guys get mugged all the time, I know it has an effect, but CJ has not played up to his potential since he has been back and that includes last night. CJ's performance has been discussed in many threads lately which to me shows there is something to it. I'm 100% with you on Niko, it was like he wasn't even on the field last night. Arrington played well.

I want to make it clear I'm still a huge fan, I believe in the guy but sometimes I think it is ok to give the a couple plays off and let someone else who has been successful take a few plays, not just 1 time in a game.

I don't think we will ever agree 100% on this, but that's cool and I respect your feedback. :)

I honestly think Arrington and Chung had better games than Revis and Browner last night.

We need more Ayers

I think McCourty had a pretty good game.

Situational football! If Jones had gone harder at Flacco on that play, missed and hit him on the helmet, you're talking a 15 yard penalty and another free shot at the endzone. I am sure that the Patriots were all told to hold back on the QB on that play.

From my seat, I watched Jones on a few plays and holding is one thing, but Jones was getting his head shoved backward on play after play. They even showed a couple on the big screen and it was obviously illegal hands to the face, but it was never called. How can Jones get to the QB when his head is being bent back like that?

i wonder if jones played with a heavy heart given that his brother admitted to cocaine use

It's also worth noting that (unless I missed something) there was a little mystery surrounding his injury earlier in the season. When it occurred the line was that it was a hip injury that could keep him out until the playoffs, it not beyond. Hip injuries are just the worst so it could be that he's still not 100% recovered.

And yeah, he was the victim of some egregious holds last night.

All that said, I want to see more Ayers. Not because I'm down on Jones, but because Ayers, I think, has earned the opportunity.

Revis had a rough first quarter and was really good from that point on. Logan Ryan and Arrington played really, really well though.

Best post I have seen so far on this and I agree 100%
