There has been a lot of reports that there have been several teams wanting to interview Josh McDaniels for a HCing position. My question is, has he made any plans to visit any of those teams. He probably only has Friday or Saturday to have an interview. After that he's not gong to be available again during the Pats playoff run. Anyone have any news that he's actually going on any of these interviews

It said somewhere that the interviews would take place close to Foxborough so as not to disrupt his preparation for the playoffs.

Which make even less sense, if I'm getting interviewed for a job I would like to get a feel for the place, the facilities, the city. If it's just to talk use Skype.

The timing of these interviews is just terrible, it doesn't help the team looking for a coach either being a little ahead on the schedule for next season.

I don't know what we're worried about- half of us don't even know his last name. LOL

That's the downside of interviewing a coach whose team is in the playoffs (which, if you're going to interview an assistant, is generally the kind of assistant you want to be interviewing).

I used to be one of his biggest critics, but I've recently come around a bit. I was looking into the Pats struggles in the playoffs over the years and I noticed that he wasn't around for the worst losses and his offense has been productive. I say keep him.

I'll add a question if I may. Is Josh looking for another HC position?

My assumption is yes because he left here to be a HC somewhere else. Whether he is looking to be a HC somewhere in 2015 is unknown.

I'm sure many of us have casually interviewed for jobs even though we were completely happy at our current one. Its good practice, good networking opportunity and if you have the chance to improve your family's life and your career- and it isn't a major conflict of interest or done in an underhanded way that damages your personal brand or be perceived as disloyal, you do it.

Interesting that this thread had been up a while now and so far no can definitively say whether Josh is gong to interview with anyone or not. Why is that?

His offense has always been fantastic in the regular season but under-performs in the playoffs. Won't be too heartbroken if he does leave.

Again there were news reports that he was interviewing with ATL and SF in BOSTON this week

I may be jumping the gun a bit here, but I'd be very curious to see who we'd replace McDaniels with....

Speaking of coaching, I don't have anything against Patricia per se, but I would LOVE to see a new DC who can bring some swagger into this D... ala Seattle 'Legion of Boom' style

JOSH MCDONALD HAD A JOB, E-I-E-I-O

Yes I did. I was wondering if that condition is something Nala can be comfortable living with? You can pm me or respond here.

from what I hear Denver's OC and the cards DC are pretty much the top guys for the two best jobs 49ers and falcons so that maybe why we are not hearing much teams just talking to him to get a feel if they cant get there top guy, and most people have the pats going all the way in the playoffs so teams don't want to wait around 2 months to sign a HC

Um, Denver and AZ are in the playoffs too. So if Gase and Bowles are the top 2 candidates they are (possibly) going to have to wait around for them too.
