Patterson is getting abused by Logan Ryan. His routes are lazy.

To be fair, there are logical and illogical calls. Logical calls often fail, and illogical calls often work.

This was at least somewhat logical, and it certainly didn't work.

I agree, I actually liked the call. Was being sarcastic.

Because its a bad call. Big lead. Clock is your friend. Third and short. Get hte first down.
I'm not playing for the clock at this point. I don't mind the call. It was barely off.

Can we get another TD offense. The defense is definitely helping the offense out.

Part of the reason why many of us were not enamored with Patterson to begin with. Doesn't seem to be a guy who would succeed in the Patriots' offense.

Agree completely, 3rd and short at their 42 you run the ball twice if you need to.

what is this baseball chick doing here ??

If this is who you mean, she's allowed to do *me*! I'm exiled in Jersey, so I miss out on the local 'casters....

The call was fine. It's made by essentially every single O.C., at every level.

They better not put Teddy in for his sake because literally the last thing you want to do in this league is sub in a rookie quarterback against a Bill Belichick defense that is ROLLING.

This is exactly why I never believed in the forum hype that L.Ryan would be moving to safety.

It's pretty obvious to me that he belongs at CB, and can even hold his own as the CB2.

So much for the "Logan Ryan won't see enough snaps" talk all summer...

Patterson is getting abused by Logan Ryan. His routes are lazy.

Coming out of college, the negatives on Patterson were general stupidity and lazy route-running. He's showcased both this week. I was hoping for the Pats to pick a WR there, but I had Justin Hunter over Patterson for basically that reason. Hunter will be a stud if he ever gets a good QB throwing to him.

6 takeaways in 6.5 quarters by the defense.

Then that will be to ours and Jones' detriment because he has off the scale athleticism like his brothers.

Belichick likes defenders knowing what each other are doing. He's funny like that.

I'd have no problem with a deep ball if it the play was 'if no one picks him up, throw it deep; if he's mildly covered then go short'. The 'it's going to be thrown deep no matter what' call rarely works and should be saved for when it's not the last offensive down of the series

Was he touched ?? Where ??
