Resurrection of Tavon Wilson

It appears Wilson is ahead of Harmon and Chung. Not bad for a player most had not making the roster.

This highlights the value of Revis beyond what he does on the field. Wilson worked out this offseason with Revis in Arizona and it appears to have made a big difference.

What is everyone thinking about Wilson and the safety competition?

I base it on performance in practice and last night. Wilson has outperformed Harmon throughout.

So is the Patriots coaching staff confiding in you or are you just going by what we've read and seen in 2 weeks of practice and one preseason game?

These types of posts are odd to me. You say something like are the coaches confiding in me as you essentially assert the opposite of what I am suggesting. So is the coaching staff confiding in you?

I guess the difference is that neither of us have the coaches confiding in us but at least I have reports, practice tape, and preseason game tape to support my suggestions. You on the other hand have nothing to substantiate what I suggest isn't true.

This would make sense if at any time I said that one player was outplaying the other. What I'm saying is that you are making premature statements as if they are factual.

I'm not a Tavon hater. Anyone who wears a Pats uni I'm going to root for unless they're an awful human being. But you clearly don't have enough information on which to base these objective statements simply because we aren't even halfway through preseason.

You guys are being pretty antagonistic for seemingly no reason...who cares if one guy on the internet thinks Tavon Wilson is having a better camp than Duron Harmon?

No one cares about anything in preseason, or should. Of course some people complain that everybody jumps on them and jumping to conclusions like that, instead of saying "Tavon looks like he's back in competition with some good practices" could be why.

I'm just giving some posting tips to "Win friends and influence people."

If a cranky curmudgeon like me can be fairly well received i must know something.

I said "appears" there is nothing premature and there is nothing that implies fact about the word appears. I offered an opinion based on playing time, and performance.

I hate when people try to shut down opinions like this.

You can make any opinion invalid:

Judge by first preseason game?

"It's the first preseason game."

Second?

It's the second...

Third?

It's just the preseason it doesn't matter

53 man roster cuts?

Doesn't mean he'll actually start

First game?

Relax it's just the first game.

You can go forever with this, including the all powerful "This past player seemed good by all accounts and still got cut. We are not the coaches."

If this attitude was widespread there'd be no point to debating anything at all on a fan forum.
