Will miss Pats season opener!

Per AdamSchefter:

@AdamSchefter: With Dolphins C Mike Pouncey out at least three months after hip surgery, Miami's O-line will have five brand-new opening-day starters.

good, this will be a tough game, moreno ia having knee issues too

Well, the Dolphins are going to find out a lot about their new offensive linemen very early.

Week one will be a rough day for the Miami O.

first games of the season are terrible indicators for an entire season. That line could play error free the first game and end up a sieve by game 8. The reverse is also true.

what I like about it is the Pats D can dictate the way the game plays out offensively for Miami. Their experience should really show in early season games.

I hope he has a full and quick recovery. And, having said that, I'm not disappointed that one of the games he'll be missing is against the Patriots.

Pretty much my thoughts exactly.

Hate injuries in sports, no matter who it is, hope he fully recovers, but I'm certainly not going to shed a tear if he misses our game.

I hope either Easley or Kelly are lined up as the penetrating DT across from his backup.

Apparently it's the same injury Percy Harvin had and it happened at OTA's.

Over or under 6 sacks for the pats that day?

Mike, and likely his brother as well, will, in time, do something which will result in a "recovery period" significantly longer than 3 months.

Over the past 2 seasons we've averaged 5 sacks per game against Miami, 6, 4, 7, and 3.

Their offensive line will be playing their first game together in its revamped state, missing its best player. Their chemistry should be lacking, going against a DL that will have had 3 of their starters entering their 3rd season together and another who was dominant to start the season in Kelly.

On paper, we will have the best pass rush we've seen in quite a long time.

I'll say 7 sacks on that day.

More importantly, is he going to miss any grand jury testimony?

The injury fairy flew to Miami.

I got 8

- Patriots without Browner and possible without Gronk
- Miami without Moreno and and entirely new o-line
- Week 1
- Divisional game
- Miami in the Summer

I think Vegas just exploded trying to set the line for this game.

I was going to go with 8, but I guess I'll say 9 now.

2 for Jones. 1 for Ninkovich. 2 for Collins. 1 for Mayo. 1 for Hightower. 1 for Wilfork. 1 for Ryan.

While I'm at it, I'm going to say 2 INTs this game. 1 for Dennard and a pick 6 for Revis.

Final score: NE 42 MIA 9

Now I just have to remember look back and see how much I missed the actual stats by.
