Asa Watson is the brother of Benjamin Watson. Interesting.

Did we sign Duncan or not?
I'm trying to find out for sure but I can not get a exact answer?

No clear answer out yet.. but given the lack of one I guess we didnt sign him.. (yet)

Looks like BB is going to throw a bunch of UDFA TE's at the position and hope that one pans out. You really don't need 4.6 speed in the red zone. For a TE, its more a matter of quick feet and body position than pure speed that's important. So a relatively good 3 cone time is more significant to me than a good 40 time

At any rate glad to see the Pats are trying to address the TE position with these FA signings.

Pats now have 3 Long snappers on the roster. I think it's safe to say that Aiken has some competition..

i hope theyre better than sudfeld!:D

lyerla's still out there..:eek::rolleyes:

I'm a big fan of James Morris. I thought he had the best instincts of all the linebackers available in this draft but was kind of slow. He kind of reminds me of Bruschi.

No. Joe Don Duncan has not signed. The initial report was retracted. Joe Don Duncan may have gotten a similar offer from another team and is weighing his options. There have been several players who were reported to be signing with one team only to sign with another.. Christian Jones is one. Initial report was that he signed with Jax and he turned around and signed with Chicago..

Pats had 66 players signed prior to the Draft. They added 9 players in the draft, bringing them to 75. Another 9 UDFAs (so far) brings them to 84. So they have 6 slots open to fill..

And still no safeties?
Really odd.
One of the highest needs entering the draft.

One would think New England would be a very attractive spot for any of the UDFA safeties - Dion Bailey, Craig Lostin, Daniel Sorenson, Kenny Ladler, Christian Bryant, ...

Justin Jones writeup from east Carolina St.
http://www.ecupirates.com/

Earned "excellent" designation during the off-season strength and conditioning testing period ... Set a new position record with a 340-pound power clean lift ... Other numbers of note were in the bench press (400 pounds), back squat (465), push jerk (300), vertical jump (37.5") and broad jump (115.5") ... Despite size, is an agile athlete as evidenced by efforts in the pro shuttle (4.17) and the three-cone drill (6.96)

He ran a 4.90-second 40-yard dash with a 6.88-second three-cone and 38-inch vertical leap at Detroit’s Scouting Regional Combine in March.

RB Roy Finch, Oklahoma - challenging for KR role - 25.6 KR average, but not much upside as a runner at 5' 6" with only 4.50 speed
TE Justin Jones, East Carolina - "Ruled ineligible at East Carolina" - what do you have to do to be ruled ineligible at East Carolina, and can you master the TE playbook on the Patriots?
TE Asa Watson, NC State - Ben's brother, 41 receiving yards, heart surgery - real long shot
H-back Tyler Beck, Bowling Green - real long shot
DL Deylan Buntyn, NC State - zero starts at NC State
LB James Morris, Iowa - coverage/DT linebacker with 7 sacks, 3 PBU's, and 7 INT's - most likely to make the roster
LB Cameron Gordon, Michigan - ST LB, terrific agility as measured by the 3-cone drill, 10 career starts
CB Travis Hawkins, Delaware - 4.37 speed, 1000 kick return yards with a 25.6 career average - challenging for KR role
LS Tyler Ott, Harvard - should be able to quickly master the long snapper playbook

Jordan Love CB Towson (Tryout)

A bigger back at 5'11" 225 with decent power, hands and speed. Nice signing. Competition for Bolden/Ridley.

Ja'mes Logan, WR Ole Miss

6-foot-3, 183-pounds, caught 136 passes for 1,734 yards and six touchdowns during his four-year career

saw a couple lists that had houston as one of the best UDFAs there was hopefully practice squad for him but has good size for sure
