Tom isn't getting any younger and there is some value with this pick.

If colts put Andrew luck on the trade block should we offer our first round pick for him ?

I would not draft him. We have significant holes to address along the offensive line, defensive line, and tight end positions.

If Manziel was to drop that far we would be best of trading back with a team willing to pay a ransom to move up and draft him.

Negative ghost rider, the pattern is full.

Barring injury, I think Brady will play beyond his current contract. So, no. Trade down and get someone to overpay.

Would Brady be willing to take a pay cut in his next contract?

Nope, trade back with the highest bidder.

Considering his track record (spent most of his career playing for less than market value) and the fact that he'll be about 40, he's not going to ask for 20m/year.

In another year and a different QB, maybe. I don't like Manziel, I don't think his style of play with his size will be a good fit for the NFL. I think he's another Michael Vick. Talented, at times electrifying but will have injury after injury.

He's not our next QB and the 29th pick isn't a spot you draft someone to sell high later.

there are six teams picking in the top 10 that all need a QB he will not get passed the Vikings if he even falls that far but if he was there at 29 it would be great cause then the pats would have trade bait,

there are only two ways I ever see the pats Drafting a QB in the first. #1 Brady retires #2 Brady's play falls off so bad that he has to be replaced

The real question is if Randy Moss drops to us...do we draft him?

No,just no.

First, he can't run the Pats system. For him to have any chance to be successful he needs to go to a team that designs their offense completely around him, that won't happen in New England. Because he can't run the Pats system he will be largely wasted as a backup because he won't be able to help our offensive skill position players develop in practice and during training camp. We had the same problem with Tebow, you want the guys who arent getting reps with Brady to get in similar type work with the backup but you can't really do that with Manziel. He will be largely useless as a scout team QB because he is so different from anyone else in the NFL, he won't be able to replicate a traditional pocket passer or even th larger running QB's like Newton and CK.

This doesn't even take into account the value of drafting a backup QB, the fact that I don't think he is a good enough pocket passer, his attitude and character concerns, the distraction it would bring and I just don't like the guy. I'll pass thanks.

This has a snowball's chance in hell of happening. If the Patriots draft that mouthy twerp I'll eat my hat.
