For all the fun of speculation, suppose...

It's just frustrating because at times it feels like BB just wants to be the smartest guy in the room. I hope I'm wrong.

There is so much negativity, hate, and sarcasm on this board.

Its just sad at this point.
The user ignore feature is wonderful.

I'd ask if we could trade cap space for more draft picks :D

I agree that we will likely sign at most one high profile free agent (SS anyone?) if Talib and Edelman are re-signed.

HOWEVER, I certainly think that we will consider signing high level free agents if either is not re-signed.

Well I obviously meant stand pat...or low-level...on FA signings.

The draft is another animal.

Patriots would be better than they were last year as a simple function of health and 3 rookie WRs no longer being rookies. Collins would be a starter with a year under his belt and so would Harmon and Ryan along with the rookies on the DL.

And that is with no other additions. Experience and a year in the offseason training program does a lot.

However, the Patriots will bring in vet FAs to compete and the Patriots will add players through the draft. Chances are high that a 1st round pick will be contributing quite a bit and a 2nd round pick would play a decent amount of time.

I am looking forward to the coming year.

Healthy Amendola, SHOULD be able to get similar production to Edelman last year. I liked to see both stay but, it shouldn't be backbreaking to lose Edelman. Not like it would have been last year. Might not even had made the playoffs.

Keyword healthy, I don't think anyone should go into a season expecting a healthy Amandola for the whole season.

If they stayed healthy, they would probably be on par with what we saw last year.... a team worthy of getting to the AFCCG, but certainly no further.

They simply are not going to beat Denver without an improved defense. But I have no doubt that improvements will be coming. It's hardly time to panic.

Then how did they beat Denver this year?

They should be competitive if the core of the team stays healthy even if they lose Edelman and Talib. They'll just fall short of stopping high flying passing attacks with Ryan and Dennard.
It's hard to speculate now, it's way too early, there's plenty of moves and time between now and opening day and January.

I was joking around in this case, but in general I agree and I feel the same way, I have a particular poster that makes sure he votes one star for every thread I open. The petty behavior and grudges held over football conversation is very sad, we all should be able to disagree about players or situations without it becoming a personal issue. I know personally when I get into I make a point to reach out and apologize if I overstep in the heat of the moment.

Foob, I apologize if my post came across crude, I have a jihand against Amendola, but I very much enjoy your posts and hope I did not offend you.
