SVITEK
Our #3 RT is playing just fine.

DEVELIN
Josh likes having a FB. I like having a 2nd option on short yardage, in addition to the quarterback sneak. And yes, it is great to see blocking that includes a FB, a pulling RG and 2 all-pro linemen.

When did Solder get All-Pro recognition?

In addition to these two, Gost's work in the kicking game can't be understated as well. Without his heroic efforts the Patriots probably don't win that game.

All 3 guys played huge roles in getting the W. Develin's TD rush was the run of the year for me. I love the kid's effort and attitude.

Develin's run certainly fired up my household. that AWESOME. :rocker:

Yep, it is pretty remarkable that they can get play like that from a 3rd string tackle. Scarnnechia is the best in the business.

Nice job by Develin yesterday, he gives them a look and options we haven't seen in a long time.

I remember seeing one play where Svitek was blocking two linemen, one with each hand which I thought at the time looked awesome. Admittedly one of those linemen was also being blocked by maybe Connolly so it was more like one and a half, but it still looked really good.

And Develin's run was out of the seat, punch the air good.

Love how this dude holds onto the ball with both hands all the way through. One fumble and he probably never gets another carry in his career lol.

I think there are more than just 2 unsung heroes. And Svitek is really our #4 tackle. This team has really had people step up all over the field. Fletcher Ryan, Harmon, Jones, etc etc. there have been far more people. Who have played above my level of expectation than below. This team has some champion like characteristics.

I think that's Mulligan with the block on #59. That's a mighty fine block.

Let's add Logan Ryan to that mix. The secondary held this team together through the first half of the year, and Ryan has been a big part of that.

I would also like to add Ninkovich, he's all over the field.

On a more negative side, look at Blount. He chooses not to block #31 and it's him that tries to make the final tackle. If he'd made the tackle, Blount's laziness would have cost a TD.

Bumped because I think people should be aware of this limitation to Blount's game.

I'm not going to defend all aspects of Blount's game but he really started out as a bubble player who made the team and has contributed far more than any of us could have ever expected this season. He has weaknesses but he has come through and I am really happy with his contributions

They got him for Jeff Demps, that's the real cheating scandal, that and Talib for a 4th. Nice work bill.

That run by Develin was awesome. I counted 8 defensive players making contact with him (although I may have counted the same player twice) and he still scored

I' don't down on Blount necessarily, in fact, that might have been one if his best games, but I just noticed that play and thought it was a very obvious bit of film support to back up a common evaluation of Blount, namely that he doesn't always give 100%.

This is a bit of a reach, his man didn't engage in the play. Even if he did go after him as he was standing there the only way to stop him backing off like he did was to hold him.

I'm not convinced standing around doing nothing makes for a better contribution. The defender was clearly Blount's responsibility which is why he pointed towards him.
