Running Backs

It is fun trying to read Belichick's mind. Just two days ago, we were figuring out why SIX running backs made sense. The fact that we had 6 RB's on the "final" 51 was my only WTF moment in the putdowns. And now, there are only four RB's.

I understand that Washington may be back next week.

There was never going to be a chance of six RBs. Never ever ever.

Where is George Winn? Why isn't he on the practice squad? Why do the New England Patriots need two linebackers on the practice squad?

Well Washington is supposed to be coming back next week. If only we could say that about Woodhead.

It sure felt as if they were in large part handling the roster one position group at a time.

I never thought the 6 RBs would stay for long. They, followed by the 11 DBs, were an obvious buffer for soon-needed roster slots.

Now OL is the top buffer. And while I'm dizzy, isn't there a dubious recent pickup at LB as well?

They don't for long, I'd conjecture. In effect, another little buffer.

BB knows what is best. I'm a little concerned about the lack of a veteran RB on the team though.
